THE RECTANGLE TOOL

You can access the Rectangle tool by opening :
- a 8 bit file (Disc Options / Open 8 bit File);
- a 16 bit file (Disc Options / Open 16 bit File or Contour Treatment / Open Memory Ses-
sion);
- a 8 bit file and a 16 bit file at the same time (Contour Treatment / Open Memory Session).

This tool allows the user to draw a full rectangle according to a Flag value previously de-
fined.

Procedures

1/ Open a 8 bit file (.ic1 or .img) (Disc Options / Open 8 bit File) or a 16 bit file (.ic2 or .geo)
(Disc Options / Open 16 bit File or Contour Treatment / Open Memory Session) or both at the
same time (Contour Treatment / Open Memory Session).
2/ Select the tool by clicking (8 left button) directly over its icon
3/ Determine the Flag value of the rectangle in the following Parameters box :

4/ Select the tool by clicking (8 left button) directly over its icon. The pointer takes a R
form.
5/ Trace the zone to cut :
a

a. Position the cursor over the file and click (8 left button) over the upper left corner
of the area required (a)

 b. Without releasing the button, drag the cursor down to the lower right corner of the
area required (b)

c. Release the button of the mouse.
The rectangular zone is traced.
