THE HUMAN BODY IS ABLE TO PRODUCE L-GLUTAMINE
ITSELF FROM L-GLUTAMIC ACID. AT 60%, IT REPRESENTS THE LARGEST AMOUNT
OF FREE AMINO ACIDS IN THE BODY. GLUTAMINE HAS BEEN REFERRED TO AS AN INTERNAL
FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH BY SCIENTISTS.
***********************************
Of all the amino acids Glutamine is the most abundant in our body. It is stored
mainly in the muscles but can be found as
well in the lungs, liver, brain and blood (plasma). It comprises approximately 50-
60% of the free amino acids in muscle
. This accounts for most of the body's Glutamine reserves.
The cells in the immune system rely on glutamine as their primary fuel source. The
human body uses glutamine to move
ammonia and nitrogen throughout the body
via the bloodstream. So the body tries to maintain a contstant level of glutamine
in the
bloodstream at all times. The immune and digestive systems crave glutamine. The
digestive system often struggles to get enough glutamine to cope with the high
protein diet of
a bodybuilder.
In the past couple years, glutamine has gained importance through studies revealing
its unique contribution to protein synthesis (muscle growth), anti-catabolic
breakdown
functions (prevents muscle tissue breaking down) and growth hormone elevating
effects. Due to these effects, glutamine plays an
important part in your body by aiding recovery of muscle cells.
Sixty percent of our glutamine is found in the skeletal muscle, with the remainder
residing in
the lungs, liver, and stomach. Glutamine has a unique molecule structure with 2
nitrogen side
chains. This structure makes glutamine the primary transporter of nitrogen in the
muscle cells.
Absorption of zinc from zinc citrate was 61.3% (56.671.0) and was not different
from that from zinc gluconate with 60.9% (50.671.7). Absorption from zinc oxide at
49.9% (40.957.7)
Your body repairs cells and reduces inflammation by taking an electron from an
antioxidant found in fruits and vegetables, and donating it to the free radical.
Pumpkin seeds are one of the best sources of plant-based trytophan , an amino acid
that aids in calming the mind and body. Trytophan is the precursor to the
neurotransmitter serotonin, which helps
ensure a healthy mood, lower anxiety, aid in a good nights rest, and it helps
prevent
depression. Trytophan is also found in sweet potatoes, some leafy greens, bananas,
nuts, seeds, and most legumes and beans.
The main electrolytes in the body are potassium and sodium. Other electrolytes are
chloride and bicarbonate. Potassium is found mainly inside the body's cells. Small
amounts are also found
in blood plasma. It has an important role in regulating the heart's rhythm and
ability to
contract. Sodium is mainly found outside cells where
it helps regulate the amount of water in the body.
Wheat bran contains more IP6 (phytic acid) than any other food source, according to
All-About-Food.org. Every 100 g of wheat bran has 3,610 mg of phytic acid, but
including wheat bran in your
diet does not necessarily mean consuming such a large amount. For example, two
loaves
of bread can be baked from about one cup, or 58 g, of bran. Wheat germ is also high
in
phytic acid, but contains a little less than half of the bran. Knowing the
approximate amount of phytic acid from this potentially large source is important
because 5 to 10 mg of
phytic acid may reduce the absorption of iron from plant sources by 50 percent,
according to the Linus Pauling Institute.

Ljudsko telo moe da sintetie sve, osim tri masne kiseline koje su mu neophodne. S
obzirom na to, one se nazivaju esencijalnim
i moraju se unositi hranom. To su linolna, -linolenska i arahidonska kiselina.

prvenstveno
koriste za sintezu hormona, koji reguliu krvni pritisak, nivo masti u krvi, utiu

Consuming 100 grams of raw egg white with one egg yolk compared to consuming the
same food cooked was shown in one study to reduce protein digestion from 90 percent
down
to 50 percent.
Manganese performs several functions in the body and is found in your pancreas,
bones,
liver and kidneys. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center,
manganese helps
your body form sex hormones, bones, connective tissues and blood-clotting factors,
is necessary for normal nerve and brain function, is an antioxidant that helps
fights
free radicals and plays a role in calcium absorption, blood sugar regulation and
metabolism.
The raw oxalic acid in beet juice is known to be a good solvent of inorganic (=
bad) calcium deposits in the body. World no 1 raw food teacher David Wolfe suspects
that inorganic calcium deposits are the main
cause of most chronic diseases. This may explain why beet juice relieves many cases
of
disease related to calcification in the body, like:
* arthritis
* heart disease
* cancer
* kidney stones
* eye problems
* varicose veins
* arteriosclerosis
Like with other bad (or inorganic) calcium dissolvers (MSM, fulvic acid and
zeolites), drinking lots of beet juice may result in strong
detox symptoms. When calcium dissolves, heavy metals, toxic chemicals, and viruses
are
released from their "hiding places".
The relatively large amount of magnesium causes the organic (= good) calcium in the
leafs to be absorbed well.
The 2008 Australian study, conducted by researchers at RMIT University, studied the
effects of taking caffeine along with carbohydrates after endurance training. Since
caffeine taken before and during exercise has been shown to increase the
availability of
muscle glucose (zato izgleda ja dobro trim i igram kad uzmem tog dana kofein
aktivira se UH iz miia ili je neto drugo?) -- and thus your endurance level --
the researchers posited that post- exercise caffeine might have the same effect.
When the bran and germ are extracted and only the
endosperm is milled, that
makes white flour .
When all 3 of parts of the
kernel are milled, that
makes whole grain flour,
also referred to as whole
wheat flour .

If green tea is steeped in cooler water (158 degrees F), relatively more caffeine
and antioxidant polyphenols will be extracted in the second infusion. When
hotter water (about 185 degrees F and above) is used, more caffeine and polyphenols
will be extracted during the
first infusion. (See Source by Yang et al below.)
Silica is found most predominantly in the connective tissues - skin, blood vessels,
cartilage, bone, teeth, tendons and hair. Silica is really beneficial for the
health of blood
vessel walls (the aorta is has really high concentrations of silica).
The excellent source of silica contributes to the proper construction of connective
tissues in our body as in the bones, muscles, cartilage, ligaments and tendons.
Trans-fat is also known to increase blood levels of low density lipoprotein (LDL),
or
"bad" cholesterol, while lowering levels of high density lipoprotein (HDL), or
"good" cholesterol. Trans-fats even interfere with your body's use of beneficial
omega-3 fats, and
have been linked to an increase in asthma.
Trans-fats are formed when hydrogen is added to vegetable oil during food
processing in
order to make it solidify. This process, known as hydrogenation, makes fats less
likely to spoil, so foods stay fresh longer, have a longer shelf life and also have
a less greasy
feel.

Egg yolks have one of the highest concentrations of biotin found in nature. So it
is likely that
you will not have a biotin deficiency if you consume the whole raw egg, yolk and
white.
It is also clear, however, that if you only consume raw egg whites, you are nearly
guaranteed to develop a biotin deficiency unless you take a biotin supplement.
The protein is digested first, whilst the carbohydrates are 'shelved' waiting for
their
turn.
If the body doesn't have enough carbohydrate , protein is broken down to make
glucose for
energy.
Apple is a refreshing superfood, which you can avail year-round. This juicy fruits
are good source of the antioxidant quercetin and fibers. The amount of sugar is low
in green apples than red apples. In addition to hydration, apples are beneficial in
weight loss, lowering cholesterol levels, and preventing some
chronic health conditions like diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular disease, and even
certain cancers.

Avidin, another anti-nutrient found in the egg white, binds to biotin, a B vitamin
responsible
for things such as fatty acid synthesis and blood sugar regulation, and inhibits
its
absorption. Biotin is normally produced by a healthy gut flora so those suffering
from
digestive issues are even more at risk of biotin deficiency.

Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in the liver and fatty tissues, and are eliminated
much more slowly than watersoluble vitamins.

Acid does prepare foods for digestion, especially proteins. Normally, proteins
exist
in a tightly coiled globular structure. Acid denatures the protein which results in
the
protein unraveling into a more linear structure. This then allows enzymes access to
the peptide bonds so the protein can be
broken down.
As an osmolyte, betaine
protects cells, proteins, and enzymes from environmental stress (eg, low water,
high
salinity, or extreme
temperature).
