Worlds First Optical Illusion

https://voices.nationalgeographic.org/2010/12/22/worlds_oldest_optical_illusion/
National Geographics site lays out the original opital illusion, that has to be
from the stone age. It was originally a cave drawing, as well as a stone object. The
image is of both a wooly mammoth and bison overlapping one another. I would
show children these images as a part of learning about sight, and what our eyes do.
I would ask the children what they see, and explain how thousands of years ago,
people also liked to look at optical illusions, just like we do.

Phrenological brain map

This image is one of the first sketches of what people thought how the brain
is laid out. I would explain that our brain is a big part of our senses, and its how we
are able to experience the world around us. I would explain how brains are very
important. I would possibly show what a picture of todays brain (not graphic)
would look like, to compare how the two are different.
Hearing Aid Museum

generalinfo-eartrumpets.htm
This website describes the first images, advertisements, and explanations of
ear trumpets, which was the first hearing aid. I would introduce these images and
ask students what they think these would be used for. I think that students would
initially think it is a real trumpet, like an instrument. However, it is used for hearing.
It was one of the first ones developed. I would show students what hearing aides
look like today, and possibly talk about how technology has changed over the years.
