5. Analysis :
Click Analysis/print No print Add Close.
Note: Save the File before Run the Program.
6. Perform Analysis :
From Main Menu ` Analysis Run Analysis Done.
7.Results :
Go to post processing mode.
Select load case 1 Apply Ok.
See Deflection Highest deflection=83.362mm .
BMD: Click MZ and see the BMD Diagram. Also click Graph and see the BMD at mid
span and support. All BMD are seems to be higher value. To reduce the BMD
introduce stiffener by stiffening the Column and beam.

Go to modeling modeIsometric view Select all the 4 nodes on top of all
columns Copy paste nodes Y=2.0m Ok. You have made a change to the
structure, post processing result will no longer available. Do you want to all result
files yes.
Add beam Join the column node to Grid 3rd Node (second Grid portion end
node) Give some property to this bracing. Select 0.38 x 0.30 (Property 3) Select
By Missing Attributes Missing property Assign to selected plates
Assign Yes. Again Run the Analysis.
Analysis Run AnalysisDone. Go to post Processing mode. Displacement Select
load case 1Ok. Click MZ icon and Click Beam Graphics. The outer Beam BMD at
Mid span earlier it is 391 KN.m and now it becomes 191 KN.m. At Support BMD is
55KNm. Select Mid beam inner portion of Grid at Mid span BMD is 102 KNm earlier
and it becomes 87 KNm now. Now you can Design the beam and column members.
Design: Click Design ConcreteIS 456Define ParametersFc=25000KN/m2
Add. CommandsDesign Beam Add. Design of column Add.
Highlight Fc=25000KN/m2 and select entire structure Assign.
Highlight Design of Beamselect the beam portionAssign.
Highlight Design of column select any one of the columnassign.
Now Run the analysis and see the Result. Double click the outer Beam and see the
Reinforcement Details and double click the inner portion of the Grid beam and see
the reinforcement. Also double click the particulat column and see the
reinforcement. In order to economise and reduce the BMD, you can also alter the
position of column by shifting 0.50m on either end of beam on adjacent beams by
introducing 2 columns on each corner spaced at 0.5m apart and introducing stiffener
similar to earlier and giving section as 0.45 x 0.45m and giving support, Revising
selfweight of structure, deleting concrete design and Run the Analysis once again
and compare the BMD with earlier values.
