Form : 2 Marikh
Number of pupils : 30 students
Date : 17 February 2011
Duration : 9.00 - 9.20 a.m (80 minutes)
Topic : Coordinates
Subtopic : Concept of Coordinates.
: Scales for The Coordinate Axes

Learning Objectives
Students will be taught to :
1. Understand and use the concept of coordinates.
2. Understand and use the concept of scales for the coordinate axes.

Learning outcames
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to :
1. Identify the x-axis, y-axis and the origin in a Cartesian plane.
2. Plot points, state the coordinates of the points and state the distance of the points from
the y-axis and x-axis.
3. Mark the values on both axes.
4. State the scales used in given coordinate axes.
