Explain AKSF
(General Information)
We believe that Human rights are standards that allow all people to live with dignity, freedom,
equality, justice, and peace. Every person has these rights simply because they are human
beings.
We define, poverty as the fundamental denial of choices and opportunities in life. The basic
rights of a human being are denied whenever a person lacks the possibility of choosing his/her
future and developing his/her aspirations.
Opening Educational Pathways For Migrant Children: our objective is to have a secure place
for the children whose parents are working in the construction sites. In our Day Care Centers
we guarantee non formal education, basic nutrition and promotion of their own personal
potential.
Rainbow Home: we have a Home for girls that were living in the street, so that they can have
an opportunity to live and study in a secure place, that guarantee their rights.
Yashodhara Shelter Project: in collaboration with SAMPARC organization, we are running this
project to cover the holistic development of the children living there. The objective is to
reduce the children's vulnerability and develop their personal skills so that they can have more
and better opportunities in the future.
Young Promises: our objective is to offer educational opportunities and concrete skills for
young people so that they can continue their studies and be prepared for their future.
EACH YEAR
For the past 10 years, we have been committed to being close to children and families and
supporting their lives and hopes, providing an alternative to the indifference, abandonment
and neglect of their rights,.
We remain faithful to the dream that made us create Asha-Kiran Shelters Foundation, and that
allows us to contribute to make a change in peoples lives along these years through the
projects.
Education, health, empowerment, development and awareness are our main lines of action.
We want to build a world in which the rights of every human being are respected.
All the actions that we develop both in India and in Spain would not be possible without the
unconditional support of the sponsors and the team of volunteers who accompany us with
passion and commitment.
