Brethern,
Special Meetings:
I would like to thank all the brothers for their support this Refreshments: 6:15 pm
year. I am very proud of all of you. You have shown your Meeting: 7:00 pm
commitment to our craft in many ways. Your dedication to the Lodge
Dark: July / August
has been inspiring to myself and our officers.
We had a great turn out at the School of Instruction in Selma on 9-27-2017; those who did not attend
missed some good council and fellowship. Remember Brothers; SOLs are open to all brethren of the degrees in
which we are being instructed, i.e. First Degree SOL is open to all masons; second degree SOL is open to Second
Degree and Master Masons. Third Degree SOL is open to Master Masons only.
I will not be able to attend Grand Lodge this year, I have other commitments in Illinois this year.
Worshipful Jack Cloud will be attending and I know he will cast our votes as they should be.
We will have our Christmas Party with Hanford Lodge again this year. Last year was a great success and
Im sure this year will be as good or better.
Our Masonic year is quickly coming to a close. Again, I thank all the brothers for their support and
dedication this year. Remember, we need officers to fill positions this coming year. If you have ever had a
desire to be a Lodge line officer, NOW is your chance to start on a journey that will enlighten and enrich the rest
of your life; not only in your Masonic life, but the rest of your life outside the Lodge. If you have a desire to
become a Line Officer, contact Worshipful Jack Cloud. I know he will be pleased to help in your journey.

Fraternally,
D.W. Venturella, WM

Grand Masters Proclamation
OCTOBER 2017 IS MAKE A DIFFERENCE MONTH
1717-2017: Celebrating 300 Years
Whereas, the Masonic tenets of brotherly love and relief inspire us to continuously make a difference in our lodges, in our communities, and
across the world; and
Whereas, for 300 years, our brothers have committed themselves to bettering the world around them; and
Whereas, the process of giving back within our communities is an integral part of our ongoing mission to become better, wiser, more honorable
men; and
Whereas, when Masons work side by side with our Masonic youth, there is no end to the good work that can be achieved together; now,
Therefore, as Grand Master, I proclaim October 2017 to be Masonic Family Make a Difference Month. I ask all California Masons to partner with
the Masonic youth orders in their communities to help plan a local community service project and to reach out to elder brothers and widows
who may need home repairs or other support from their lodge.

Let us build the next century of our fraternity starting in our own communities, working side by side with the brothers and sisters who inspire us.

Dated this 27th day of August, 2017.

Sincerely and fraternally, Attest:

John R. Heisner Allan L. Casalou
Grand Master Grand Secretary
