Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl

Because of its unique shape and design, the Static Chimney Cowl shields the chimney from
light wind / air currents coming from any direction, thus preventing downdraught which can
cause smoke to escape from an open fireplace or any appliance such as a stove.

Thanks to its circular shape, the Static Chimney Cowl responds exceptionally fast to any air
movement and it balances the performance of the chimney through the Venturi Effect, which
means the Static Chimney Cowl is suited specifically to stove installations as it will aid the
draught or upwards movement of gases in a chimney.

The Static Chimney Cowl is extremely effective at preventing driving rain found in exposed
locations and it can also help with nesting birds. In addition, it will not impede the performance
of the chimney in any way.

TECHNICAL
Constructed from robust high grade stainless steel.
Available in two colours attractive matt stainless steel or terracotta painted stainless steel.
Suitable for use with all fuels oil, gas and solid fuels.
The Static Chimney Cowl is manufactured to BS EN1856-1:2009, is CE marked and
independently tested and certified by BSRIA UK.

Tested for many years in the most varied of weather conditions, proven in solving downdraught
and driving rain problems for both fireplaces and stoves.

Without any moving parts, the Static Chimney Cowl will ensure your chimney is trouble-
free for many years. For ease of mind, we offer a 1 yearguaranteeon its workmanship and
materials.

FITTING
The Static Chimney Cowl will fit most standard chimney pots the Statics base diameter is
8 or 200mm and is very easy to fit only a screw driver is required. Full instructions supplied
with the product.

Leg length is 120mm - suitable for standard chimney pots. Longer legs (235mm - as an
optional extra) are available for ornamental / decorative pots.

The cowl is also available in sizes - 5, 6, 9 and 12 allowing it to be fitted to prefabricated

flues & small or large chimney pots.

When fitted correctly, the Static Chimney Cowl will not detach regardless of wind strength.

NOT SUITABLE FOR

Will not prevent a very severe and continuous downdraught in your chimney the Spinner
Chimney Cowl will prevent this.

Will not prevent a downdraught if the chimney is more than 4 feet lower than the apex of the
roof or a taller structure, hedge or tree(s). In such situations, a Super C or R Electrical Chimney
Cowl will be needed.

This cowl will not prevent a downdraught when there is no wind if the problem still exists
when there is no wind (in conditions such as cold, calm or frost) the problem is a lack of
draught and a Super C or R Electric Chimney Cowl is required. No anti downdraught chimney
cowl can solve a lack of draught.
