I. Introduction

For my Capstone project, I m choosing to make my own website from HTML coding

because I believe it will help me gain more knowledge for my potential future career. The reason

I want to become a Computer Engineering for my career is because, I personally love working

with and around computers. There are many branches of a computer engineering, therefore Im

most interested in software engineering because I find designing and writing in programs is

extremely fascinating and I would love to make my own website or game with coding. From this

project, I hope to learn more about coding and how it is used to make websites.

Like I stated before, I will be making a website using only HTML script language. On my

website, I will be talking about different types of meals that I will cook over the semester. I

chose to make my website about cooking, because I personally love to with my family. I thought

creating a HTML website and cooking would make me much more intrigued into my capstone

project. Im planning to cook two breakfast meals, two lunch meals, two dinner meals, and two

dessert courses. On my website, I will be presenting my modified recipe that I used to cook, my

result after making the food, and what I could have done to make it better.

This project may seem easy, but there is a lot to it. I believe that my capstone project is

going to take a good-hard three months to complete. I know that making my website to my best

of ability is not going to be easy. However, Im going to push myself to complete my

assignments and follow my timeline, to make sure that I dont fall behind. The reason that

creating my HTML website will take so long, due to my lack of knowledge. Before starting my

capstone project, I dont have much knowledge on how to create a website using HTML script.

Therefore, after finishing my capstone I will be much more informed on how HTML language is

used to create a website. In the past, I have done some coding to make my own website in

grade 8. However, I wouldnt say I have much knowledge or great experience. This is perfect,

because this project gives me a chance to learn new ways on how to use HTML script to make

my own website. I feel like, after this project I will gain a lot of information on how html is used

and what each script means.

Completing this project will help make a connection between my academic and career

goals because, after high school I will be moving on to post-secondary, where I will be doing

much deeper research about software engineering. With this project, I will gain great knowledge

and information on what is to be anticipated. After finishing my project, I will be much smarter

in my subject than anyone in the class and be able to present my project without any hesitations.

Im hoping on January 1st, I will be much more advanced at coding, as my main goal is to

learn and to become better. When I publish my HTML website link onto my Weebly website, my

intended results are to have five full pages about the meals that I have cooked, with pictures and

a neat description underneath on what I have done over this capstone project.

II. Objectives:

Different aspects and achievements that I plan to achieve when completing my capstone

project are:

I. Learn how to format paragraphs, headers and create text onto my website.

II. Learn how to add pictures and change background colors.

III. Make my own self-modified recipes to add to website.

IV. Learn how to transfer pictures from camera roll to website.

V. Learn how to expand website and create multiple pages.

IV. Preparation/Obstacles

Even though this project is quite hard, there isnt much I have to buy in order to finish

my project. Having to complete this project in January, I find that I shouldnt have a problem, as

I have all the main necessities to complete my capstone project. For example, the only items I

may have to buy are some ingredients to cook my food. However, to finish my project on time I

need to stay on my timeline schedule. My biggest concern is that coding may seems easy to

watch, but there are going to be times where I will need help, but I dont have any other

resources now than the internet to help me when I am stuck.
