I have honor to request permission to conduct a SCHOOL-BASED LEARNING


ACTION CELLS ON PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF INFORMATION
COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) TO CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION (MS
Excel, Web / Internet Access, Computer Hardware) on August 25 & September 8, 2017 at
Palanas Elementary School.

The objectives of this training are the following:

Determine the basic hardware, software components of a desktop or laptop


computer.
Display mastery in assembly and disassembly of computer peripherals and
manipulating the keyboard and mouse
Enhance teachers knowledge and develop skills on basic Windows Application
and web / internet access (Searching, Downloading, and Updating in LIS)
Reorient teachers to enhance their skills in making instructional materials and
school reports through the use of computer.
Participants of this training are the teachers of Palanas Elementary School.

II. BACKGROUND / SITUATION ANALYSIS / RATIONALE

This training/Learning Action Cell aims to strengthen develop teachers


knowledge and skills in manipulating computer and utilizing programs / software on
basic windows application and web / internet access (Searching, Downloading, and
Updating in LIS) to easily facilitate their task in teaching and in classroom
management.
It is the school response to the results of the Palanas Elementary School Survey
Questionnaire where ICT competence marked as a priority area for the teachers
personal and professional growth and development. Moreover, it is also the response
to the age-old clamor of teachers on how to make their task in record management
become easier.
Also, in compliance to the Division Memorandum No. 16, s. 2017 directed by the
Information and Communication (ICT) Services ICT Literacy Training for Teachers
(Training of Trainers) to conduct Learning Action Cells to respective schools.

III. PROJECT OBJECTIVES


The general objective of this training/ Learning Action Cell is to provide teachers the
knowledge and skills on the use of software and hardware in the DCP teaching and learning.
Hence, this proposal is conceptualize which attain the ff. objectives:

Determine the basic hardware, software components of a desktop or laptop


computer.
Display the mastery in assembling and disassembling of computer peripherals
and manipulating the keyboard and mouse.
Enhance teachers knowledge and develop skills on basics application and
web / internet access(Searching, Downloading, Updating LIS)
Re-orient teachers to enhance their skills in making instructional materials and
school reports through the use of computer.

IV. PARTICIPANTS
Participants of this training are 18 teachers of Palanas Elementary School.

V. METHODOLOGIES
The training shall be conducted through lecture, where PowerPoint and Video
Presentation shall be utilized in order to gain information and knowledge about the topics.
There will be allotted time for open forums, hands-on activities, presentation of outputs and
evaluation at the end of every session (topic) to give way to participants questions,
comments reactions and suggestions.
This training will be facilitated by our Teacher In- Charge and Teachers who were
trained in the Division ICT Literacy Workshops and has mastery in the said matter.

After the training, participants are expected to have knowledge in manipulating computer
and utilizing programs / software to easily facilitate their task in teaching and in classroom

VI. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS

Equipment such as laptops will be provided by the participants. Projector, speakers,


Internet access and other materials such as bond papers, manila papers and printer.

Desired Impact of the Project

This training will strengthens teachers knowledge and skills on the use of
software and hardware in the DCP teaching and learning and make the practical
application of information communication technology (ICT) to classroom instruction.

Specifically, the training will:
