Fecha de nacimiento: 15 de abril de 1452.
Lugar de nacimiento: Anchiano, Toscana, Repblica de Florencia
Ocupacin: Pintor, cientfico, inventor, escultor, escritor... Definido

The story centers on the municipality of Ilamatepeque, Santa Brbara, a community immersed in the cultural backwardness and
illiteracy of most of its inhabitants.
The book tells the tragic story of the brothers Doroteo and Cipriano Cano, both native of that community and former soldiers of the
federal government of General Francisco Morazn Quezada.
After a long period, the Cano decided to return to Ilamatepeque, where they took a great surprise to see the fatal change of the town
dominated at that time by Gervasio Lzaro.
In a short time, the Cano became famous in the village, they were spoken of with great respect, as well, they recited to their neighbors,
traditional home remedies, enriched with the experiences of their hectic lives.
They suggested possible reforms, and suggested the founding of a school, an act not well regarded by the village chiefs, who
responded with disgust to the suggestion, as they knew their revolutionary ideas.
The superstition and ignorance of the authorities led to the Cano being condemned to die simply for following the ideals of Morazan
in an attempt to transform the institutions supported by the aristocracy and the most stubborn sectors of the church.
From that moment, the brothers Cano were classified as "sorcerers" and were accused of disturbing the conservative order, exercising
magic among the people and making a pact with the devil, insulting that they had the ability to become animals to abuse the villagers,
as well as to "introduce" turtles to their enemies to kill them.
As expected, the accusation ended in a trial in which the only way to pay for the alleged wrongdoing was in the firing room, where
they died with their heads held high for the same cause that killed the great Central American champion.
The story opens with the arrival of the brothers Cano to Ilamatepeque, a town that has not changed for ten years, when they left to
serve General Morazan. The reason for his return is not known until later; had dared to return even though they had given orders that
all the Morazanists had to kill them, and they wanted to return to their village.
