Republic Act no 7079 gave birth to Campus Journalism Act which provides for the

development and promotion of campus journalism in every school. Because of

this act, we are here today to equip, to update and to advance ourselves with the
needed journalistic skills.
Journalism is about results. Its about affecting your community or society in the
most progressive way
In the desire of the division to inculcate not only the needed know-hows in
writing but also the passion and dedication as campus paper advisers and campus
journalists, this training was structured.
Ladies and gentlemen, to bring out the patriotism in us, let us all rise for the
singing of the Philippine National Anthem to be conducted by Teacher Perla
Juguilon of Catarman SPED Center and will be followed by the prayer to be
headed by Teacher Rina D. Tan of Allen Central Elementary School and to aptly
express our pride as Nortehanons, the singing of the Division Hymn will also
follow.
Now, to keep the ball rolling, one of the best writers and lyricists in the division,
Madam Sylvia D. Villanueva, Educ Prog Spec and at the same time the Division
Campus Journalism Coordinator for Elementary, will do the honor of
acknowledging the participants.

To welcome us all, may we call in our ever supportive leader, one of the best
education advocates, Dr. Rey F. Bulawan, the chief of the Division Curriculum and
Instruction Development for his message.
Northern Samar is known for people of versatile talents, to give proof, lets bring
it on for these little talents from Catarman SPED Center on their ukulele rendition.
With us this morning is non other than the Father of DepEd Northern Samar
Division, our Schools Division Superintendent, Sir Bernardo A. Adina for his
MESSAGE.
To entertain us all, another set of performers from Catarman SPED Center will
showcase their singing prowess. Put your hands together for these fabulous
presenters.
To formally present our facilitators and the training staff, may I give you, Sir Julito
E. Lagrimas, Education Program Specialist and at the same time the Campus
Journalism Coordinator for Secondary.

Great journalism will always attract readers. The words, pictures and graphics that are
the stuff of journalism have to be brilliantly packaged; they must feed the mind and
