Meesha is a new child who has started attending the An-Nur childcare centre. While she has enjoyed exploring different activities with Jenny beside her, including playing in the sandpit, slide, and playhouse, the document outlines that all children have the right to have their health, well-being, and safety promoted. It also notes that over the coming weeks, Meesha and Jenny will focus on learning the centre's routines and being encouraged with positive guidance and love.

Salama alakum Meesha. Welcome to our family here at An-
Nur childcare centre. This week I have been observing you as you settle into the centres routines, however you are a wonderful free spirit and have been enjoying a few minutes at each activity. With Jenny beside you, you have ventured outside and had some great times in the sandpit, the slide and even played in the playhouse. You surely are making yourself at home which is what we like to see our new children do. Every day its wonderful to see how relaxed you have become, Im guessing you are feeling very safe.
Well being/Mana atua: All children have the right to have
their health and well-being promoted and to be protected from harm. You also have the right Meesha to experience affection, warmth and consistent care. Safe, stable and responsive environments support the development of self- worth, identity, confidence and enjoyment, together with emotional regulation and self-control.
Learning outcomes: Children experience an environment
where over time and with guidance and encouragement they become increasingly capable of managing themselves and expressing their feelings and needs. These outcomes will be observed as learning in progress when, for example, children demonstrate a sense of personal worth and cultural identity and the ability to make choice, focus attention, maintain concentration and be involved.
Individual Learning Goal: Over the coming weeks you and
Jenny will be making yourself at home, learning the routines we have in place around eating and toileting, and keeping yourself safe. We will be encouraging you with positive guidance and love. Insha Allah.
