Lesson idea implementation: For this lesson, the students will create their own flash card game based upon
the grammar knowledge they learn and practice using BrainPop. They will begin with watching a video, then
playing games and taking quizzes to test their understanding of the material. Then they will add the new ideas
and grammar concepts they have learned to their flash cards to use in the future. The video and games will
cover concepts like capitalization, punctuation, and spelling, as per the standards.

Before watching the initial video, Id like to pose some questions to the students about their experience with
grammar and how theyve herd it used. Have they noticed when someone uses it incorrectly? Do they know
what the specific mistake was? Once the students have created their cards in groups of two, we will divide
the class into teams. Each team will pose their question to the other, and we will keep score of questions
answered correctly.
