Ang Senado ng Pilipinas ay ang mataas na kapulungan sa dalawang

kamara ng tagapagbatas ng Pilipinas, ang Kongreso ng Pilipinas. Hindi


katulad ng Senado ng Estados Unidos, binubuo ang Senado ng Pilipinas ng
24 mga senador na hindi kinakatawan ang kahit anong partikular na distritong
pang-heograpiya.

Ang Kapulungan ng mga Kinatawan ng Pilipinas (Ingles: House of


Representatives of the Philippines) ang mababang kapulungan
ng Kongreso ng Pilipinas. Di-pormal itong tinatawag na Kongreso. Tinatawag
ang mga kasapi ng kapulungan na mga kinatawan o mga
kongresista habang Representativenaman ang kanilang titulo. Ihinahalal sila
sa upang maglingkod ng tatlong taon at maaaring maihalal nang hanggang
tatlong ulit sa pinakamarami. Maaaring kumatawan ang isang kinatawan sa
isang heograpikong distrito o sa isang mahalagang sektor ng lipunan.

Minority Floor Leader of the Senate
of the Philippines

The Minority leader of the Senate, also called as the Senate Minority
Floor Leader, is the leader elected by the minority political grouping of
the Senate of the Philippines to serve as their official leader in the body
and fulfill the responsibilities of a Floor Leader. He manages the
business of the minority in the Senate. He is expected to defend the
minoritys parliamentary rights, to criticize the policies and programs of
the majority, and to use parliamentary tactics to defeat, pass, or amend
legislation.
The current Minority Floor Leader of the Senate is Franklin Drilon who
was elected on February 28, 2017 following his ouster and replacement
by Ralph Recto as the Senate President pro tempore on February 27,
2017.
