Article I
ORGANIZATION NAME
This organization shall be a non-profit, unincorporated association. The name of the organization shall
be the Marion Center Basketball Boosters. Referred to as MCBB.
Article 2
Purpose
The MCBB exists for supporting the boys and girls, varsity, junior varsity, and junior high basketball
teams.
1. To support, promote and maintain a high standard of integrity and good sportsmanship in the
Stinger program.
2. To foster and promote good will, communication and cooperation between parents, students,
school and district representatives, coaches and the community.
3. To promote quality and excellence in the Stinger program.
4. To raise funds to supplement the Stinger program.
5. To enhance the basketball experience for all present and future players.
Article 3
Membership
Parents, step-parents, and guardians of present Stinger basketball players shall be considered members.
MCBB also encourages community members who would like to support the MCBB. All members are
encouraged to participate in the booster club activities, such as volunteering for various projects or
being involved with fundraising to promote the success of this organization and the Stinger teams.
Article 4
Governance /Officers
The MCBB will have an executive board consisting of President, Vice President, Secretary and Co-
Treasurers.
The President will preside over all meetings, prepare agendas, serve as a liaison between the MCBB and
the coaches, and the Marion Center school district representatives.
The Vice-President shall act as president in the event the Presidents absence.
The Secretary shall provide notices of meetings and shall keep records of all meetings. The secretary
shall post meeting minutes on the Booster webpage. and any correspondences for the
organization.
The Co-Treasurer position shall assist with preparation of annual budget, keep accurate record of all
financial affairs and be responsible for booster club bank account. The treasurers shall deposit all funds
and disburse funds to approved purposes of the club. A copy of financial report will be made available at
the annual end of year banquet. The bank account may be inspected for any purpose at a reasonable
time upon request of any booster club member.
Article 5
Elections
Elections will be held in May of each year. Nominations will be brought to the meeting in April and then
elected in May. Nominations may be taken from the floor the meeting of the election.
Article 6
It is intended that the collection and disbursement of members funds and that the financial activities of
the booster club are to be conducted within good accounting practices and within the policies of the
Marion Center School District. It is also intended that there be complete transparency as to the financial
activities of the booster club and that any member of shall have full and complete access to all financial
activities of the booster club.
Article 7
Meetings
The MCBB will meet the second Monday of each month at 6:00 P.M. Most meetings will be held in the
IMC at Marion Center School District. Meetings are open. A small business meeting will be held at the
end of the year banquet each school year.

Dissolution
The Marion Center Basketball Booster Club may be dissolved by a majority vote of the Executive
Committee and the General membership. If for any reason the MCBB is dissolved, the remaining funds
in the booster club bank accounts the funds will be used to benefit the Marion Center Basketball teams
until the funds are exhausted. If necessary, any such funds will be turned over to the Marion Center
School Area High School for safe keeping and /or disbursement.
