MIT Group of Institutions initiated the revolutionary spread of
technical education in Maharashtra facilitating quality
education to the masses. Maharashtra Institute of
Technology, was established in the year 1983, under MAEER
(Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational
Research). Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, founder of MIT
Group wanted quality education to reach the masses and be
made available to every merit holder irrespective of one's
class, creed or religion.

Robocon
Robocon, is an interesting intellectual exercise (disguised as
a game) for budding engineers and their enthusiastic
instructors, determined to innovate and create machines.
Participation in this activity is an end-to-end competitive
experience- right from concept design of a system, Robots
programmed to perform according to the rules of the game
played on a high precision technical contest area; all this
while adhering to the theme declared by the Host Country.
International Robocon is mainly sponsored by Asia Pacific
Broadcasting Union (ABU) and Doordarshan (Prasarbharati).

Sports Event Initiatives by MIT Group since 2007
Summit
Engineering students are not often encouraged to follow their
passion as sportsman. In order to promote their skills and to
give them a chance to present their sporting abilities, the
management of MIT decided to organize a sports fest, which
would provide a platform for athletes of various sports, on an
annual basis for all Engineering colleges. Many sporting
legends too have honoured us with their presence and
support. Summit has gone from strength to strength in the
decade since its establishment. It has gone from a local to
state to a National Level competition of great repute.

Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad
The Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (Indian Student Parliament) was
initiated by Rahul V. Karad in 2011, so that the students of our
country can get a platform to be encouraged into a life of public
service or embrace active politics. Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad or
BCS, as it known, is a non-political platform to educate and harness
the power of youth, mainly through the general secretaries, joint
secretaries and socially active & politically sensitive students from
around 25000 colleges of more than 400 universities in India. BCS
is a classroom that provides political coaching to nearly 10,000
students in the age group of 18-25. MIT is trying to create an
environment so that committed, educated and spirited youth
participate in democratic polity and contribute in evolving a healthy,
democratic system.

MIT-ADT University, Pune has been operational since

June 2016 & offers courses in Design Engineering, Marine
Engineering, Food Technology Engineering, Bio Engineering,
Film & Television, Construction management, Broadcasting
& Journalism, Applied Arts and many more disciplines.
University houses more than 3000 students in the campus.
MIT ADT University Campus
MIT ADT's beautiful 125 acre campus was fittingly, formerly
owned by the movie industry legend Late. Shri. Raj Kapoor's
family, and was bought by MIT Group of Institutions on 4th
August 2002. This picturesque area exudes peace and
tranquility and is close to Mother Nature in spite of its close
proximity to the Pune-Sholapur Highway. The Raj Baugh
Campus is 30km Away from Pune city & it's located on the
beautiful banks of the Mula-Mutha River which is based on
the matrix of Sapta Rishi, Sapta Rang and Sapta Swar.
