Reflection: I completed the goal for todays research. I learned who John Locke was and what
his political ideas were. I mostly agree with Lockes idea because they were reasonable. The
websites I used were very resourceful and easy to understand. For the next class, I will do some
research about Thomas Hobbes.
Reflection: I completed the goal for todays research. I learned who Thomas Hobbes was and
what his political ideas were. I mostly disagree with Hobbess idea because they were too
pessimistic. The websites I used were very resourceful and easy to understand. For the next
class, I will compare Lockes and Hobbes idea to see what are the similarities and differences .

Reflection: I completed the goal for todays research. I noticed how different Lockes and
Hobbess ideas were, even though they both agreed upon having governments. I personally
agreed with Locke more than Hobbes because he was less pessimistic than Hobbes. I believe
that no one is born naturally bad, I dont think people need to be forced to follow the laws,
people have common sense. For next class, I will begin researching about the French
Revolution.

Reflection: I completed the goal for todays research. I learned about French Revolution, how
it happened, what was the cause, how it ended, and how it affected modern days law. I didnt
have a hard time finding information at all, everything was clearly written in the websites. It was
a bit of a challenge to summarise the French Revolution in my own words, though. For next
class, we will start writing the lyrics for the music video.
Date: September 8, 2017
Goals/Questions: Finish at least half of the lyrics
Notes:
Original Project
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? French Revolution. French Revolution.
Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see Knowledge derived from experience, John
Locke said
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy Im just philosopher responsible of new
theories
Because I'm easy come, easy go, little high, Because I believe that rights of man- cannot
little low
be- taken away *Life, Liberty, Property*
Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter
to me, to me Purpose of government is to protect these
overthrow.*overthrow*
Mama, life had just begun John Locke change is in the air. *ohhhh~*
But now I've gone and thrown it all away Colonies borrowed Lockes idea and change
Mama, ooh, didn't mean to make you cry John locke, ooh, *power for protection*
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow people should help each other If there are
confliction
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come Science, can find the laws
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching No mans knowledge here can go, beyond his
all the time
experiences
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all Society cannot exist without a government

Reflection: We managed to finish half of the lyrics. It was not an easy task at all. I actually
respect songwriters and singers more because of this. Writing song lyrics is a challenge in itself,
but to make it sounds as less ridiculous as possible? A whole another story. We also have to
make the lyrics comprehensible or at least semi. So this was very challenging.

Reflection: We finished the second half of the lyrics. So we thought the first half was a pain to
get done? It got nothing on this part. It was the hook of the song and it was extra hard to write
the lyrics. The choice of song was actually brought up at one point in our discussion. But we got
it done anyway and we are quite proud of it.
