It can calculate the heat flow in steady state or transient state.

For the steady state, you can use the following equation.
q = dt / Rt
where q is the heat flux, dt the temperature range and the thermal resistance Rt
for dt.

For a composite wall,

heat transfer (q) =Ratio of Temperature difference between inlet and outlet to sum
of the resistances offerered by composite wall

Sum of the resistances= Resitance offered by first wall + resistance offered by


second wall + resitance offered by third wall + etc.,

Resistance offfered by first wall= Ratio of thikness of first wall in meter to the
product of thermal conducitivity and normal area of the wall
