The temple in Jerusalem would be destroyed

Then as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him,
“Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!”And Jesus
answered and said to him, “Do you see these great buildings?
Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
Mark 13:1-2
David Roberts, The Siege and Destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans
Under the Command of Titus, A.D. 70, Oil on canvas, 1850.

Christ will be imitated

Many will come in My name,

saying, “I am Christ,” and will
deceive many.
Matt 24:5

Then many false prophets will

rise up and deceive many.
Matt 24:11

Then if anyone says to you,

“Look, here is the Christ!” or
“There he is!” do not believe
him. For false christs and false
prophets will rise and show
great signs and wonders to
deceive, if possible, even the
elect. Matt 24:23-24

The temple will be desecrated

So when you see the abomination of desolation—spoken of by
Daniel the prophet—standing in the holy place (let the reader
understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.
Matt 24:15-16

Someone will be mispositioned

But when you see the abomination of desolation
standing where it should not be (let the reader understand),
then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.
Mark 13:14

Jerusalem would be besieged

But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies
then know that her desolation has come near.
Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.

The Return of the Son of Man

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all
the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man
coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Matt 24:30

Zephaniah 3:14-15
Sing, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O Israel!
Be glad and rejoice with
all your heart,
O daughter of Jerusalem!

The Lord has taken away

your judgments,
He has cast out your enemy.

The King of Israel, the Lord,

is in your midst;
You shall see disaster no more.

Israel Gathered and Judged

And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
and they will gather together His elect from the four winds,
from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:31

So Jesus said to [the disciples], “Assuredly I say to you, that

in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne
of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve
thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Matthew 19:28

Why does all this matter?

The Judgment of the Gentiles

When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with
Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the Gentiles will
be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another,
as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the
sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Matt 25:31-33

In my Father’s house are many mansions;

if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:2

And if I go to prepare a place for you,

I will come again and receive you to myself,
that where I am, there you may be also.
John 14:3

He will do this

His return in glory.

And if I go to prepare a place for you,

I will come again and receive you to myself,
that where I am, there you may be also.
