Also, businessman has a lot of pressure, and most of them did not exercise every
day. This product could be monitor the body function for them.

Also, for Athlete and Old People, they also need this product to know their body
data.

PERFORMANCE

The purpose of this product is to save people who have heart attacks. As we
know, heart attacks are emergency situation. Sometimes there is no warning for
that. So, the basic function of this product is to monitor the body function. If the
body function is not to work, like heart attack. It will send the emergency signal
to the nearest hospital.

For POV Statement, to monitor body function is important for patients who have
heart attacks. But if the data is not timeliness, patients would not be saved timely.
Even they would be dead in heart attacks.

The patients have heart diseases. Part of them have a good habit like exercising
daily. To prevent a heart attack during exercising, they just take medications in
their pockets. A new design need to help them to keep safety during exercising
daily.

REQUIREMENT

The idea should take Wearable high-tech products, like Xiaomi Band.

The idea should take the small medicine box, like 65*66*23mm

The idea should provide the specific number of body function in every second to
monitor the value is normal range or not; for instance, heart rate is 120bpm.

The specific data should be showed for patient via the screen

When patient is outbreak of disease, this product could send the emergency
signal to the nearest hospital (within 3 kilometers) besides giving the information
which medications the patient need to eat.

It is just like a band-aid. Very Small product, just fix on the arm. To wear this
device is very comfortable and very light in weight. Its good for exerciser to run
or other sports activities.

Very strange design. However, it is not easy to drop out. And patients who take
exercise would not feel any weight on their arms.

 DECISION MATRIX

Decision matrix is a list of values in rows and columns to determine which one is
the best and to weight difficult-to-compare factors. In the decision matrix,

Design A: It looks like Apple Watch. Its very convenient to get the body data.
And its different with Apple Watch is that there is a very small container under
the watch to take medicine.

Design B: It is a new design, to wear this device on the hand is very cool.
However, its not for everyone. The size of hand for people would not be the
totally same. Which means the comfortable of this device is not good.

Design C: The device on the left side is to monitor the body. If there is something
wrong in the patients body, this device will give warning. And the medicine is
inside the container which is tied to patients arm.

There are only three pictures. You know Im the beginner to use CAD to create
3D Model. Its not very easy for me to create perfect model. But I will try in my
engineering life.

It is just like a band-aid. There is a square shape. Also the middle point is a high-
tech product to monitor the function of body does work or not. Its very
portability for human to fix on their arms.

This production is made by mental, including silicon, steel.

Also PhotoPlethysmoGraphy is the one of principles to monitor the heat rate.

HOW TO WORK?

Its a very small product. Maybe you guys have a question about how to use it?

First, you need to download the app.

Then, fix this product on the arm.

Next, connect to Bluetooth and turn it on.

And turn the function called monitor check on. The middle point of this product
would be twinkled to check it is work or not.

At last but not least, After monitor check, the light will be green all the time,
besides the specific data of body function is exceed the normal range, it would
be red.

HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

This product is very small, which means it would be portable for customers. The
main purpose of this product is for patients. Some of them have heart attacks. If
their body function is abnormal, this product will flash red light to warn the
patient and send the emergency signal to the nearest hospital to save time. Also
if the electric capacity is very low, many customers will not buy this product. So
high electric capacity for this product is necessary.

For material, there is central processing unit (CPU) in this product to monitor the
body function. Also, to satisfy higher electric product, there is lithium battery in
this product. Honestly, there are not only these materials, but also others. At here,
I just talk about these main material.

HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

Actually, this product is not very cheap. Maybe the price of it is $200. There are
many new technology in this product; for instance, how to keep high electric
capacity in this very small product; how this hardware in this product is to work
perfectly. For customers, they cant tolerate this mistake that is to delay the signal
to the nearest hospital. If this situation was happened, patients may lose their
lives. So, we need to guarantee the hardware in this product is no problem.

SUMMARY

During this product, I know what the engineer is. And very important is how to
have the mind of engineer. Its very difficult for freshman. From this course, I
think I control almost 60% of the mind of engineer.

Via this project, I know whats the difference with requirements and criteria. How
to use AHP chart and decision matrix to determine which design idea is the best
one.

Brainstorm is also important for us to switch different ideas for one topic. Also to
learn CAD. CAD is a significant tool for engineers because engineers can create
their 3D model on this software. Its very easy to alter and to render the objects
which you design.

Honestly, I appreciate this course, it teaches me a lot of skills. Via this course, my
long-term goal that I make the airplane for my brother is to get closer.
