Appendix 6

Suggested answer.

Write a letter to the editor on the topic how to deal with Sexual Harassment in school and incorporate
the modals should and should not.

Dear editor,

Lately I have read many stories of sexual harassment in schools. Being one of the victims myself, I would
like to share my own thoughts with the readers. There could be nothing in this world that can compare
to the agony that I am still going through after becoming the victim of a sexual harassment.

When we face this problem, the first thing to do is to report it to the discipline teacher. This thing should
not be ignored and taken lightly. We should record any witnesses and details of the incident. If you feel
sad about the incident, you should consult a counselor from your school. Dont ever let the sadness in
you stop you from facing the world. I order to avoid any possibilities of sexual harassment you should
not go to a deserted and quiet place in school alone.

Sexual harassment should not be taken lightly and society should play their role to ensure that sexual
harassment does not happen especially in school.

We should definitely change our lifestyles. We

should think about the environment more.

I know it is important to keep the environment

safe. But I dont think I can do much alone. So
why bother?

I understand that we need to

change, but I dont want to give
up the comfortable and
convenient life I have.

To tell the truth, I dont care. I wont

be around in the future.

We have to start changing the way we live,

little by little. Lets think about what we can
do today.

We dont have to worry. Scientists always find

answers to our problems.

Appendix 2
Last chance

This is a science fiction story about a woman from the year 2500. She is talking to you. Read the story
and find out. Why did she come to speak to you?

Good morning, ladies and gentleman. Thank you to all of you for coming here and listening to my story.
Let me begin by telling you how I came to be here: I came in a time machine. In the year 2500, we are
able to travel though time to any year in the history of the earth.

I have returned to this year to tell you something important: This year is your las chance
to change your lifestyle to save the earth!

I will explain. Beginning of the 20th century, a few people were worried about polluting the earths
water and air. They talked about the dangers of pollution, but most people did not listen and did
not change their way of life. Instead, they continued to dump dangerous chemicals and other
waste into lakes and oceans, to drive more and more cars and trucks and to cut down trees.

By the year 2200, he earths water was completely polluted. People could no longer
drink water, and they had to use other types of liquid. This forced a change, but it was not
enough. Scientists warned about over-population and said that in the future there might be too
many people on earth. But no enough was done.

So, the year 2300, there were so many people that food becomes scarce. There was no
water to grow food and all the fish in the lakes and oceans died because of pollution. Terrible
wars broke out between the wealthy and the poor. People started o think about finding another
place to live. Scientists were working very hard to find another planet in space where humans
could live.

By the year 2400, the air is too polluted for humans to breathe. So we had to leave
earth. But only the very wealthy were able to leave. Where did we go? Nowhere. And
everywhere. You see, scientists did not find another save planet, so now we must travel around
the universe in our space ships. We were still looking for a place to call our home.

So, it is up to you to change history. There is still hope. You must change your lifestyle
now, before it is too late.

At the table, they serve the onion soup, first to Dorinda, who starts eating immediately.
She breaks her bread into the soup, and when she has finished she helps herself to some
