Giving Personal
Information
Lets Learn
Your personal information includes your full name,
your birthdate, your phone number(s), and your
mailing and email addresses. In this lesson, you will
practice sharing this information with others who need
it. Youwill also practice asking for personal info.

Warm-Up
BIRTHDAY VS. BIRTHDATE

Your birthday is the anniversary of your birth


(e.g.,May20). Your birthdate (or date of birth) is the day
and year whenyou were born (e.g., May 20, 1983).

Practice pronouncing these two words.


Then find the birthdate of one famous person.
Share it with a classmate.

Questions
Listen to your teacher say these common questions.
Practice saying them out loud.

Can I get some information / info? Whats your cell number?

Whats your first name? Whats your work number?

Whats your surname? Whats your birthdate?

Do you have a middle name? Whats your email address?

Whats your home number? Is this your current mailing address?

A: And your first name? A: Whats your new address?

B: Corey. C-O-R-E-Y. B: My address is 45 Arrow Drive. Unit 88.

A: Do you have a middle name? A: Is that in Buffalo?

B: No, I dont. B: Yes.

A: Whats your zip code?


Dialogue 2
B: My zip code is 14215.

Now practice giving phone numbers and birthdates. A: Great. And is your email address

A: Can I have your phone number, please?
B: Thats right.
B: Sure. Its 555-222-7798.

A: 555-222-7798. Is that your home number?


Correct Info?
B: Thats my cell. I dont have a home phone.
Sometimes people already have your information.
A: Okay. Do you have a work number? They may check to make sure its still correct.

You can answer in a few ways:

Thats right.
A: And your birthdate is May 5, 1987, right? Right.
Thats correct.
B: Thats correct.
