ANAZITITES THEATROU

FIX in art is more an idea than a place. The cultural association Anazitites Theatrou , was founded in
2010 in a very small place at Agion Panton street, and FIX in art is the new generation. Below, there
is some of Anazitites Theatrou activities before FIX in art came into life.

Free Theatrical performances for children

o in several hospitals of Thessaloniki,

o at the dormitory rooms of the organization The smile of the child,

o at Papafio orphanage, on a weekly basis for a year.

Free entrance festival in cooperation with the Municipality of Kalamaria, in Aretsou Beach,
the Protolia Events, 19-23 of August 2011, with 3 music stages, 100s of performances and
parallel exhibitions.

Participation in the recycling actions of Thessalonikis Municipality at Saint Nestoros Square,

13 of July 2011.

The founder of the association Dionisis Zafeiridis participates in the culture committee of the Second
Municipal Community of Thessaloniki since 2011 until now.

When the association relocated in the premises of the old FIX factory, an artistic / creativity hub FIX
in art is born.

At the beginning of FIX in art, a four-day festival '' Penia Technas Katergazete takes place in the
courtyard of FIX (8000 square meters) under the auspices of the Municipality of Thessaloniki , with
the support of MYTHOS BREWERY (Carlsberg Group) (July 2012)

This alternative art-space includes:

Theatre of 300 seats

We are currently in the process of acquiring an additional space of 1200 square meters, within the
historical monument, aiming to restore it and use it as a creativity hub/ exhibition space and artist
residencies.

The theatre of Fix In Art hosted several performances and events throughout the years.

The theatre hosted during the period 2012 -2013 the child show '' The country of dreams '' directed
by Asteris Peltekis .

It hosted several musical performances .Among others there were performers such as, Loudovikos
ton anogion, Maria Thoidou, Enchordais, Baildsa, Speak easies, Oute Sponta, Anastasia, Rachil
Kyratsos and Oligochorda, Yannis Kapetanakis and others.

The library- bookstore, which is in the theatre, has books through donations of FIX in art members
and books that are saved through recycling.

On 9/11/2013 FIX in art premises hosted the action LOVE PACKAGES that the group of Arogi
Thessaloniki organized. It took place under the auspices of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and was
attended by 1200 people. This alternative fundraising event had a full day of activities and
performances from local artists for the children and the admission was food and cleaning products .
During the event we collected over 2 tons of supplies.

On 22/2/2015 an all-day event Thessmama Masquerada took place in FIX in art, in order to
support the aims of Social Oncological Clinic. There were several artists of the town that selflessly
supported the event that was attended by 2500 people.

Indicatively, our participations in festival/concerts/actions:

Baildsa and Argatia Concert (11/12/2016), where Balkan music will be combined with
Pontian lyre.

Approval for our first Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project Heart 4 Art that will take place in
March 2017.

Recycling-Upcycling Event for two classes of Delasal School in our premises (11/10/2016),
where both children and teachers got involved and made useful creations out of old
newspapers and magazines.

Winter at FIX ( ) (12/2016-2/2017) free theatrical plays, puppet show,

bubble show and circus every weekend at FIX with free contribution of the people in the
artists HAT

Autumn at FIX ( ) (10-11/2016) after the great success of the festival,

free theatrical plays, puppet show, bubble show and circus every weekend at FIX with free
contribution of the people in the artists HAT . More than 150 persons attend each show.

Hello Autumn ( ) one weekend festival (1&2/10/2016) at Fix in art with

free entrance. Circus, Bubble show, Theatrical Plays, Puppetry, Constructions with earth
material, Theatrical games ,crafting and more.

InArt Cinema (May 2016 October 2016), free film screening every Wednesday. In art
Cinema is an all year round community building event, via the screenings we organize
parallel events like discussions around psychoanalysis and cinema , blind taste tests , mystery
games , and through these events we aim to the strengthening of the social ties within our
community. Until October 2016 we are screening French movie. In art Cinema was
inaugurated with the screening of FESTIMAJ an international short film festival for amateur
directors ages 4 30. Festimaj, (May2016- June 2016) a short movie Festival. In collaboration
with the French Institute of Thessaloniki, it was the first time that people in Greece could
watch the festimaj movies and vote for them. There was free screening of all the categories
of the festival for a month.

FREE 3 weeks Percussions and Drums Workshop (June 2016), with Victor Carme, a 25 years
old French musician

FREE 2 weeks Humanitarian Clown Theatre Workshop (June 2016), with Guillaume Vermette,
who is 28 years old and he is professional and experienced humanitarian clown .

Theatrical Seminar of 20hrs about the theatrical game and its use as an education tool (June
2016), with Nick Tsoleridis, a professional actor and teacher.

 Stand-up Comedy Workshop (June 2016) , with Robert Coohe who is 24 years old and his
workshop focused on the devising and development of new comedy material.

Festimaj, (May2016- June 2016) a short movie Festival. In collaboration with the French
Institute of Thessaloniki, it was the first time that people in Greece could watch the festimaj
movies and vote for them. There was free screening of all the categories of the festival for a
month.

School performance with autistic children (June 2016). 19 25 years old volunteers of our
organization prepared and organized a full theatrical performance, in which the actors were
kids with special needs. The theatrical performance could not take place without the support
from our volunteers.

El Aqua Negro (17th of June 2016). A theatrical play where the actors were between 19-22
years old and the whole team were under 30 years old. The 4 months rehearsals for this Play
were also at FIX premises.

Antigone Project (May 2016), in collaboration with Anna Rossman Kiss(age 21) a 4day
theatrical workshop took place, that led to a performance.

1st Thessaloniki Opera Festival (September 2015) , a collaboration with the Archaelogical
Service of Thessaloniki, the Concert Hall and the artistic team Skull of Yorick, that was
attended by over 4000 people.(Norma, Carmen, Dido &Aeneas, Sister Angelica). During the
opera festival we gave the oppurtinity to upcoming lyrical artists to participate in a
professional performance. The artists in the chorus were as young as 17 years old.

Art direction of Argyria 2015 (May 2015), a series of events of the Municipality of
Thermaikos in Epanomi community, by organizing 5 concerts and several side events.

Art direction and technical support of the Municipality of Thermaikos series of events, in art
Cinema, with free outdoor movies in the communities of Municipality of Thermaikos under
the auspices of the Italian Institute.

Art direction of the Municipality of Thessaloniki series of events: Music and Actions in the
citys Monuments (September 2014) with the support of Olympic Brewery and MEL.

Technical support of the series of projections Cine City Hall (18/8/2014-21/9/2014). Free
outdoor movies in the City Hall yard in collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki
and the Cinema Club of Thessaloniki.

Co-organisation and art direction of musical events (16/8/2014-17/8/2014) in the Domaine

Samanli at Kissos,Pilio.

Support of a series of performances Open Theatre Celebrations (3/7/2014-28/7/2014) at

the Garden Theatre with a group of volunteers.

Co-organisation of one-day action against racism (3/7/2014) Between us at Santa Sofias

Square, with the photo group Photoglobe, the dance team Fall Flight and Philippos
Modinos.

Students and choreographers of FIX in art put their efforts on a Guiness Record for the
biggest Rueda de Casino (8/7/2014).

 Support of the performance The Great Wheel (14/6/2014) that was organized by the n.g.o.
Jugend &Kulturproject e.V., within the European Youth Capital 2014. It was a
multidimensional performance based on techniques of dance, circus, theatre, fire
performing, juggling and acrobatics.

Co-organisation of the conference European Youth Dialogue 2014 (11/05/2014), that was
held in Warehouse C of Thessalonikis Port. It was a 4-day meeting of 120 young people
from all over Europe.

Co-organisation of the performance Trans Europa (3&10/05/2014), within the 11 th

International Book Fair by the Theatre Group Ars Moriendi.

Co-organisation of the concert of Amir Gwirtzman at the open Amphitheatre of the

Municipality of Thessaloniki, with the music band Lakis Tzimkas Project, within the 11 th
International Book Fair.

Technical support of the action of www.selectrespect.org (11/5/2014) at Santa Sofias

Square.

Co-organization of the Local Conference of Aiesec Auth (9/5/2014-11/5/2014).
