1 Features for iTDC/ iTDC-SR

Intelligent multi door access control system

The iTDC/ iTDC-SR is an intelligent 2~4 Door Access Controller designed to meet the
market requirements for a simple and cost-effective access controller. Card registration
can be set from 1,000 to 50,000 and, the cards can be registered, deleted and
changed. Also 3000 to 29,500 of events for status of access or alarm can be stored.

iTDC/iTDC-SRs reader ports accept to connect various type of reader and supports 2
kinds of reader operating mode. (RF Card, RF Card + Password). iTDC/iTDC-SRs input
port allows to connect Exit button, Door sensor, Motion sensor and Window break
sensor etc to reinforce your security.

iTDC/iTDC-SRs In/Output ports can be expanded by EIO88(Expansion board).

Each function can be set by software but if LCD module and keypad are already
purchased, you can simply set the functions without the software.

iTDC/iTDC-SR is available to connect maximum of 256 devices by RS232/RS422

communication and Ethernet communication is available by using internal TCP/IP
module.

System Automatic Restoration (Watchdog)

If temporary the system in trouble by unusual interference (Noise, Shock and Inverse
Current), Watchdog function senses it automatically then the function lets system
work correctly.

Anti-Passback

Using an additional proximity reader for exiting, the Anti-Pass-Back mode can be set
up. Anti-pass-back mode prevents any entry or exit when the registered user does not
properly follow one entry and one exit by the Anti-pass-back rule. APB only allows exit

p.7
iTDC
for the user who has once got into the door first and it doesnt allow any user trying
twice entry or twice exit in a row. As it were, as 2 of card readers equipped on the
both sides of the entrance and exit of one door, the user has to let the card-reader
read the user card properly each time of entrance/exit so that only person who got in
with the card read by the card reader equipped on the entrance side can get out also
only by letting the card reader read the card for exit. When this rule was not kept, the
internal memory saves APB error. Also, when this kind of error happens, it is possible
to make the output on the specific output port. APB function can be used for 2 doors
each independently or linked together. (Refer to the Number of Door Control setting.)

Arm/Disarm Function for Alarm Panel

After setup of arm/disarm code, the user enters arm code and present special card ID
to the reader. The iTDC is set to arm condition and also generate output(s) for burglar
alarm system.

All readers in arm condition do not read any cards.

Arm/Disarm Input Function for Alarm Panel.

This is a function that controls Arm/Disarm by input signal. Arm/Disarm Input is fixed
to input #7, and you need to set it separately to use input #7 as Arm/Disarm Input.
Once you set input #7 as Arm/Disarm Input, iTDC becomes Arm by input signal ON
and becomes Disarm by input signal OFF. Arm/Disarm Input toggles Arm/Disarm
status.

Two Men Operation

This function allows visitors to enter and exit only with a companion of an authorized
guide.

The iTDC opens the door when two registered cards are read.

Duress Alarm

This function is used to notice any case that the door has to be opened by force. In
case of duress, enter the 2 digits Duress Password and <ENT> key before the normal
access process then the door will be opened as normal but the duress alarm is also
generated at the same time and the duress alarm output will be activated to TTL
output and alarm event will be sent to the host PC.

Advanced Time Schedule Setting

As specific time zone is set up, this function allows set-up action only within the set-up
time range. Upon each time schedule code, the user can select the time zone and
transfer to the device. For the time range of Monday to Friday and holiday (see Holiday
Schedule set-up), maximum 5 different time zones a day can be divided and set-up.

p.8 FEATURES
iTDC
Each time schedule code can have one different (or same) code respectively for
holiday.

Time schedule can be applied to the 4 functions below.

A. Card Time Schedule

This function allows access or prohibit in fixed time. From card registration, card
time schedule can be set to each of reader. It allows access in the appointed time
schedule time range and blocks in out of the range then time schedule errors are
stored.

B. Reader Time Schedule

If the reader mode is set as RF + PW(Password), the reader let card holders access
on the fixed time by only RF card but the reader becomes RF+PW(Password) mode
in out of the fixed time.

C. Output Time Schedule

Input the time schedule code to use in terms of each of output port. Signal outputs
in appointed time range.

D. Input Time Schedule

software.
See [Setting Changes] > [SETUP MENU F2] > [COMM ID(COMMUNICATION ID, BOARD
ID) DISPLAY] and check a communication address set in the device.
2. When you use several devices together, communication addresses set in the devices
should be different from each other.
3. Check if baud rate is same with baud rate set in a software.
See [Setting Changes] > [SETUP MENU F2] > [Baud Rate Setting] and check baud rate set
in the device.
* If you initialize the device, baud rate is set to 9,600 bps which is the default.

1.3 Please check if the communication port setting is good.

Check if communication port set in software is same with communication port set in PC.

1.4 Please check if the termination resistor is connected.

For long distance communication of RS422 or RS485, a resistor is connected to match

impedance to reduce distortion and attenuation which are caused by delay. This resistor is
called termination register.

In the case that several controllers are installed, the termination resistor should be
connected to the last controller and the last controller only.

Resistors below 90 are not used as a terminal resistor.
