Graphical method of solving system of equations

Let us first form a system of equations: = + +

In the same coordinated system we can present both graphs of the functions. If this graphs
have common points (they are intersecting) then coordinates of this points are solutions for
this system of equations. If their graphs have no common points then system have no solutions.

Example 1. Solve the system of equations:

=1

= 2 5 + 4

We map graphs of these functions on Figure 1.

parable.

Coordinates of common points A and B for both graphs are solutions of this system.
