AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

REPORT OF ACTIVE LEARNING SESSION (3 SEM)

The Automobile Engineering Department has conducted active learning session on

12/08/2017. The activity was based on kinematics of machine subject which is in the syllabus
of students.

OBJECTIVE:

1. To study of relative motion between the parts of the machine i.e. study of position,
displacement, rotation speed, velocity and acceleration.
2. Each part of a machine which has a relative motion to some other part of the machine
can be known.

So in this session under the guidance of following faculty members of the department: Asst.
Prof Sagar Bhamre, Asst. Prof Samkit Shah following mentioned activities were done.
1. Introduction to quick return mechanism.
2. Application of quick return mechanism.
3. Introduction to Shaper machine.
4. Design and dimensions for making the mechanism.
5. Procedure and Demo of making the mechanism.
6. Making of model of quick return mechanism.

Students of the 3rd Semester has actively participated in the activity. They learnt about the
application of quick return mechanism. Feedback of the students has been taken which has
been attached below.
Following activities are planned for next Saturday [09/09/2017] activity.
