INDIRECT SPEECH
Put the following into indirect speech
1. I have something to show you, I said to her.
2. Nothing grows in my garden. It never gets any sun, she said.
3. Im going away tomorrow, mother, he said.
4. Ive been in London for a month but so far I havent had time to visit the Tower, said Rupert.
5. I couldnt get into the house because I had lost my key, so I had to break a window, he said.

7. I wrote to him the day before yesterday. I wonder why he hasnt rung up, she said.
8. If the ground is dry on the day of the race, my horse might win, said the owner

10. If Tom wants seats, hed better apply early, she said
11. He said, My wife wants to take a job but I'd rather she concentrated on our home.

28. 'Are you sorry for what you did?' the mother asked the little boy.
29. 'Are you going to see him off at the station?' I asked her.
30. 'Would you mind if I looked inside your bag, Madam?' said the policeman.
31. If someone fell at your feet foaming at the mouth would you know what to do?' said the
instructor in First Aid.
32. 'Why do you think it may be dangerous?' he asked her.
33. 'Do you know that the shoes you are wearing aren't a pair?' I asked him.
