Getting Started
When Ariel 7.X is first opened, you can start a new performance run, or open an existing run.

New Run

To start a new run, click on "File" then "New", or click on the new run icon as indicated above. Please
see "Running Performance" for information on performing a compressor sizing calculation.

Existing Run

To open an existing run, click on "File" then "Open", or click on the open file icon as indicated above.
This will open a standard windows dialog box which will allow you to chose a run from your default
file location (see "File Locations" to set up the directory where your files are stored).

Save Current Run

To save the current compressor run, click on "File" then "Save", or click on the save file icon as
indicated above. If this is a new run you will be prompted for a filename and location. If this is an
existing run, it will be saved to the current filename. Note that the "Save as Type" drop down menu can
be used to save the current run to a file format compatible with a previous version of the Ariel 7.X
program.

Print Current Configuration

To print the current compressor configuration, click on "File" then "Print", or click on the print icon as
indicated above.

Report Manager - please see the "report manager" section for information.

Dynamics Viewer - please see the "Dynamic Viewer" section for information.

Option Group Manager - please see the "Option Group Manager" section for information.

Change Units - please see the "Units" section for information.

Change Report Logo - please see "Change Right Report Logo" for information.

Changing Limits - please see the "Limits" section for information.

Date Finder - please see the "Date Finder" section for information.

Language - changes the language for the output reports.

Properties - please see the "Properties" section for information.

File Location - please see the "File Location" section for information.

Toolbar - unchecking this option will disable the toolbar located in the upper left corner of the screen.

Performance Bar - unchecking this option will disable the performance buttons at the top of the screen

Status Bar - unchecking this option will disable the Status Bar located along the bottom of the screen.

Change Right Report Logo

Ariel 7.X users may change the logo that is printed out on the right top corner of the Ariel 7.X
Performance Program output forms. The logo can be a .jpg, .bmp, or .dib graphics file format, and will
be sized to a maximum of 70 pixels high X 70 pixels wide. To change the logo, simply select the
desired graphic from your computer using the "Browse" button in the "Change Right Report Logo"
screen. Note that changing the logo in this window will effect the current performance run only.
To change the default logo used on all runs, please see the "Reporting" tab in the "Properties" section.

Date Finder

Date Finder brings up a calendar and calculates shipdates based upon an input lead time. Lead times can
be found with the link provided on this page.

Help Menu

Refer to Help Menu for information on the list view of the Help Menu.
