Styles Set #74: Nashville Rock

Styles for Band-in-a-Box

Introduction and Overview

Please note: Some features found in these styles require Band-in-a-Box 2008 or later. The styles will play fine on previous
versions but the instrument change in the B section feature will be unavailable in Versions 2006 and earlier, and MultiStyles
arent automatic in Versions 2007 or earlier.

Thank you for purchasing Styles Set #74, with 20 great new Nashville Rock MultiStyles for Band-in-a-Box.

Our man in Music City, Mike Harrison, has come up with a great new collection of 20 Nashville Rock MultiStyles: these are
styles that feature 4 sub-sections: A, B, C, and D. This allows far greater possibilities and variations within a style.

For example, in the Style Buky+.sty (the + character following a style name indicates that the style is a MultiStyle), the A
section is for the main verse (using side stick), B is the main chorus (using snare), C is for an Intro or 1st verse broke down,
and D is for a bridge, solo section, or Outro.

As usual, Mike has input the guitar and bass patterns using a MIDI guitar controller. In this set, the guitars (acoustic and
electric) feature authentic, beautiful, clear and ringing sounds as a result of this method of input. Youll find grooves like;
Train-Beat , Ballad Shuffle, 3/4 Waltz, 12/8, 2-beat , driving 8th note feel, and more - with style names like NR_GRET+.sty,
NR_NORJ+.sty, NR_TOBY+.sty, UNDR+.sty, NR_JASN+.sty, NR_BUKY+.sty, NR_DUNN+.sty etc.

Effects like reverb, chorus, and panning are not embedded in a style, so these settings should be set and saved with the tune
from the main song page (Alt+F2). The demo tunes for these styles follow the same naming convention as the styles
themselves. For example, the DEMO song for Nr_Dunn+.STY is Nr_Dunn+.MGU.

Heres an easy way to check out these new Styles and Demos right away: Open any style in the #74 Style Demos folder,
then use the Jukebox to audition the demos and styles. Heres another way to check out the Styles: Press the [Style] button
to get to the Select Style window. In the Only show styles disk # drop-down list select #74 Nashville Rock, then
highlight the individual styles and press the [Song Demo] button. More detailed information about each style is available by
pressing the [Memo] button of the demo tune.
