INTRODUCTION
This service manual contains technical information which will allow service personnels to understand and service this
model.
Section 1 presents you with some general information of features and control, enabling you to become familiar with
each function.
Section 2 contributes to yours mechanical disassembly and replacement procedures, and electrical adjustment as well.
Section 3 contains block diagrams which offers you information for checking and understanding each circuit.

SERVICE INFORMATION 2. REMOVAL (transistor, diode, etc...)
2.1 Grasp the chip part with tweezers and melt the
solder of one lead.
1-1. HOW TO CHECK THE CRACKED CHIP PART
1. Apply heat to the soldered portions of chip part

3. INSTALLATION
3.1 Presolder the one side of contact point on the

3.2 To install the chip part, hold in position using (WITH SOLDERING IRON)
tweezers, apply heat to the pre-soldered portions 1. Using solder braid remove the solder from all pins of

Audio Problems
1. Check pin14, 16, 15 (BCLK, LRCIN, DIN) of U9 (WM8720) .These pins provide audio DAC

Note: The DIN pin's waveform is irregular since the input digital audio data is always changing.
2. Check U9 audio DAC's pin 12, 9 (V outL, V outR), the analogue audio signal should be observerd.

Video Problems
1. check U7 MPEG decoder's pin95, 93 for /HSYNC, /VSYNC signals. These two pins output horizontal and vertical
synchronous clock.
2. Check R93 for composite video output, if MPEG decoder is working correctly, analogue video signal can be
observed.
