2.5 Electrical Adjustment Procedures II

General Problems

1. Check voltage supplies: +5V, +12V, -12V and -26V

+12V
+5V

-12V
-26V

*** +12/-12V is for audio supply..

*** +5V is system voltage. 5v
*** -26V is for VFD display

2. check , 12.5MHz oscillator's output. (ref, point R45)

12 MHz MHz

3. Check CPU (ZR36705) reset IC's output. (ref. Point R55)

3.3V

This signal is used to reset the MCU.

8
Audio Problems

1. Check pin14, 16, 15 (BCLK, LRCIN, DIN) of U9 (WM8720) .These pins provide audio DAC

3.3v 3.3v

BCLK Is 2.1168M for VCD CD DA LRCIN Is 44.1K for VCD CD DA

2.304M for DVD 48K for DVD

3.3v

DIN
Note: The DIN pin's waveform is irregular since the input digital audio data is always changing.

2. Check U9 audio DAC's pin 12, 9 (V outL, V outR), the analogue audio signal should be observerd.

1V

ANALOGUE AUDIO

9
Video Problems

1. check U7 MPEG decoder's pin95, 93 for /HSYNC, /VSYNC signals. These two pins output horizontal and vertical
synchronous clock.

2. Check R93 for composite video output, if MPEG decoder is working correctly, analogue video signal can be
observed.
