April 24, 2017 Dear Sir or Madam: Itis with great pleasure that | am writing this letter on behalf of Taylor Masse. ‘Taylor was a student teacher in my Grade Six classroom at Talbot Trail Public School for her final placement in April of 2017. Taylor was always faithful to her teaching assignment. She was on time and acted professional in all her dealings with staff and students. She established a good rapport with the children and showed respect to each child as an individual in the classroom. Taylor adapted well to the classroom routine and practiced effective group management skills to maintain the customs and habits of the class community. Taylor facilitated each planned lesson with confidence and ease. She made good use of technology and board resources along with assessment tools for each activity. She practiced inclusion with students who required her support and made the appropriate accommodations for these students when necessary. She encouraged higher order thinking during her instruction through open-ending questioning and student- generated strategies. Overall, Taylor's performance was highly successful due to her dedication and general knowledge of the children’s learning abilities. T believe that Taylor has the proper leadership and organizational skills, patience and most importantly passion to become a teacher.
