While I have not had the pleasure of working alongside Ms. Masse directly, I am pleased to act as a reference for her as not only a teacher-candidate during her Bachelor of Education practicum, but also a faithful and reliable classroom volunteer for years. It is my understanding that her commitment to supporting our schoo! has been strong since her graduation from Marlborough years ago. Throughout this time, she has participated in various events including our French Café, track and field, EQAO, and Marlborough’s Multicultural Day Most recently, she has expressed an interest in supporting our daily breakfast program as she understands the need for a healthy and nutritious start to the day for all students. Ms. Masse’ sense of determination and perseverance is admirable and very strong. She is very proud of her ability to recognize her need for an assistive device to manoeuver our busy school. She is a passionate advocate for minority groups and she truly believes that her permanent disability would be an asset as it offers a unique perspective for others and a wonderful example that obstacles can be overcome. Ms. Masse is a compassionate, committed and student-centred teacher. She remains very supportive of our school and a proud Mariner graduate. It is wonderful to see her giving back as she supports our fundraisers and book fairs each year. I wish her every success as she launches her career in education.
