DIVISIBILITY RULES

To test if a number is Check to see:

Divisible by

2 If it is even.

3 If the sum of the digits is divisible by 3.

4 If the last two digits of the number is divisible by 4

5 If the last digit is 5 or 0

6 If it is even AND the sum of the digits is divisible by 3.

7 Just Divide. OR (Take the last digit, double it, and

subtract it from the rest of the number;
if the answer is divisible by 7 (including 0), then the
number is also.)

8 If the last three digits of the number is divisible y 8

9 If the sum of the digits is divisible by 9

10 If the last digit is 0

11 If all the digits in a number are the same (such as 11 or

222 ), and it has an even number of digits, the number
will divide by 11 with no remainder.

12 If a number can be evenly divided by 3 AND by 4, then

It can also be evenly divided by 12.
