Narrative
On 09/01/2012, I was dispatched to the Holiday Inn at 3535 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater, in reference to a Grand Theft. Upon arrival,
I spoke with the business manager, Jake Webb. Webb advised that a large group of people from New Mexico, who were reportedly
delegates for the Republican National Convention (RNC), stayed at the Holiday Inn from August 25th, 2012 to August 31st, 2012.
Webb advised that one customer, only known as Robert (Bob) Cornelius (NFI), who was a part of this group, reserved a room on
August 10th, 2012 and made a $200 deposit by way of his Visa charge card. (Visa Card Number expires
07/2014). Webb advised that these rooms required a five night minimum stay.
Cornelius arrived at the Holiday Inn on August 25th, 2012 and reserved the room for six nights at $278.88 per night, for a total of
$1,673.28. After subtracting the $200 deposit, Cornelius was left with an unpaid balance of $1,473.28.
Cornelius arrived at the hotel on August 25th, 2012 and while utilizing the same Visa credit card, his card was shown to be invalid.
Webb advised that he contacted Wells Fargo and confirmed that the Visa card was closed due to fraudulent charges (NFI).
Webb advised that Cornelius advised that he would pay it cash and was allowed to stay from August 25th, 2012 through August
29th, 2012, during which time Cornelius was contacted multiple times in reference to paying for his hotel room; however, Cornelius
did not. Webb advised that on August 29th, 2012, the Holiday Inn locked Cornelius out of his room. Webb stated that on August
31st, 2012, staff went back to room 233 and found that Cornelius had not returned to his room after August 29th, 2012, nor did he
pay his balance.
Webb provided me with a point of contact for the with phone number
and an . Webb advised that he contacted and advised her of the
situation.
I attempted to contact via her phone number; however, I was only able to leave a message in regards to this case.
Webb provided me with Cornelius's listed address that they had on record at 5150-A San Francisco Road, Albuquerque, New
Mexico, 87109, with a possible phone number of

I called this number, which revealed that this was a Sprint mailbox and I left a message requesting that Cornelius call me.
Webb advised that Cornelius is most likely on video at the Holiday Inn; however, the employee that has access to this video was
not at work at this time. I provided Webb with a PCSO business card and report number. I contacted PCSO Teletype and
requested Albuquerque Police Department to attempt to make contact with Cornelius at his listed address. I was later contacted
by Teletype, who advised that the listed address for Cornelius is a business suite for the RNC. No contact was made with
Cornelius. I was also advised that no information in regards to Cornelius was found by Albuquerque Police Department.

Narrative
On 09-02-2012, I received a phone call from who was able to provide me with a home address for Bob Cornelius at
324 Adams St. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. She also provided me with a phone number which is the same phone
number that I previously had and previously attempted to make contact with Cornelius. As of 09-02-2012, Cornelius has not
returned my phone call.

Narrative
On 09/04/12 I reviewed this case and conducted research and identified the suspect, Robert Cornelius. I contacted the Republican
party office in Albuquerque, NM, and spoke with Heather (NFI). I informed Heather I was conducting an investigation that involved
Robert. I asked Heather if she had any contact with Robert. Heather advised Robert was no longer affiliated with the Republican
office. Heather was able to provide a home address and relative contact information. I asked Heather if she had any contact with
Robert about this incident and she said no. Heather advised Robert was an alternate delegate while attending the Republican
National Convention. Heather advised she provides the hotel information to delegates, but each individual delegate are
responsible for booking and paying for their own accommodations. I asked Heather to have Robert contact me if she were to
speak with him. Heather advised she understood. I provided my contact information.
I contacted the victim representative, Jake Webb (NFI), who was the desk manager for Holiday Inn, and advised him I was assigned
to the case. I informed Jake I had identified Robert, but have been unable to make contact with him. I asked Jake if Robert fails to
pay his bill if the company would want to prosecute. Jake advised he spoke with the general manager, Shawn Stan (NFI), and the
company would prosecute if Robert fails to pay his bill. I advised Jake I would contact him at a later date and advised him I may
have to take the case to the SAO to obtain a warrant. I provided my contact information.
I attempted to contact Robert with negative results. I left a message requesting Robert to contact me and provided my contact
information.

On 09/05/12 I spoke with the suspect, Robert Cornelius, by phone. Robert said he was unaware that the bill at the Holiday Inn had
not been paid. I explained to Robert that representatives of the Holiday Inn want the bill satisfied. I explained to Robert that if he
pays the bill my case would be closed and no charges would be placed against him. I explained to Robert to contact the
representatives at the Holiday Inn and make arrangements to satisfy the bill. I advised Robert I would follow up with the
representatives at the Holiday Inn in a few weeks. I provided Robert with my contact information.
I later left a message for Jake Webb (NFI), representative for Holiday Inn, and advised him I spoke with Robert and that he should
be contacting him.

On 09/20/12 I responded to the occurred, Holiday Inn, and made contact with the victim representative, Jacob Webb. I asked Jacob
if he had received any contact by the suspect, Robert Cornelius. Jacob advised he did receive a phone call from Robert saying he
would make the necessary payment before the end of business, but never called back. Jacob said the bill is still outstanding.
I asked Jacob to provide me with the entire credit card number that was provided by Robert. Jacob advised it was a Wells Fargo
Visa card # I asked Jacob if they have any video footage of Robert when he checked in. Jacob advised he
would review the video and provide any footage if it existed. I explained to Jacob i would be scheduling a meeting at a later date
with the SAO. This ended my contact with Jacob.
I later completed a SAO subpoena request on Robert's credit card to confirm it was assigned him and whether or not it was an
active account at the time.
I attempted to contact Robert with negative results. I left a message requesting Robert to contact me.

Synopsis
On 09/26/12 I spoke with the victim representative, Jacob Webb, and asked him if he had obtained any video footage or made
contact with the employee that dealt with the suspect. Jacob advised the video footage was no longer available. Jacob advised
the employee who dealt with the suspect was Briana Bartlett. Jacob advised Briana did obtain identification to confirm the
suspect was using his own credit card. I advised Jacob I would schedule the meeting with the SAO and contact him with the date
and time.
I later scheduled a non-arrest SAO invest for 10/03/12 at 1300 hours in division T at the SAB. I made Jacob and Briana aware of the
invest.
