THE CURRENT SYSTEM

The Uber and Grab is a technology company that operates in 633 cities worldwide. The

pricing and payment of the Uber and Grab do not offer upfront pricing and instead calculates the

price of ride similar to taximeter, the rider is charged based on the time and distance of the ride.

The payment is made based on the rider pre-selected preferences, which could be a cash or credit

card. When the ride is over the rider can give a comment about the driver. Uber and Grab fares are

based on a dynamic pricing model, in which fares are higher during period of high demand of ride.

The same routes cost in different amount at different time as a result of factors such as supply and

demand for the drivers at the time the ride is requested. When rides are high demand in a certain

area and there are not enough drivers in a certain area, the fares is increase to get more drivers to

that area and to reduce demand for rides in that area. Users of the app may rate drivers in turn,

drivers may rate users, both on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. A low rating might diminish the availability

and convenience of the service to the user. If a driver rates a rider at three stars or below, the rider

will never be paired with that driver again.

Current System Outline/Procedure:

1. The customer will request a ride via mobile app;


a. The driver will answer the request of the customer.
b. The driver will demand the amount because of the distance.
c. The commuter request will be receive through the text.
2. The driver will go the customer
a. The driver will ride the customer to the place he /she requested.
3. The Company will receive
a. Any complaint or comment about the driver ride.
Chapter IV: The Proposed System
In the Philippines, its a common habit for people who ride taxis or other public

transportation to send an SMS to a family member containing the plate number of the vehicle

before boarding. Many dangers face commuters every day when riding public vehicles

difficulty hailing buses and taxis, accidents, holdups, and pick-pockets. Informing loved ones

before each journey is a small step to ensure a passengers safety.

Proposed system is entitled itCab. It is a mobile application for the security of the

commuters. The commuters may rate the driver as well as make a comment. This application can

truly help the commuters to be worry free while they are commuting because it will lend them

the information about the cab and the driver.
