1. HVACR technicians? What is it?

Heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installersoften called HVACR
technicianswork on heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration systems that control the
temperature, humidity, and overall air quality in buildings By providing a climate-controlled
environment, refrigeration systems make it possible to store and transport food, medicine, and
other perishable items. Someone who works in this occupation may specialize in installation or in
maintenance and repair and in either heating, air conditioning or refrigeration work. When installing
or repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems, technicians must follow government
regulations regarding the conservation, recovery, and recycling of refrigerants. The regulations
include those concerning the proper handling and disposal of fluids and pressurized gases.
2. What HVACR technicians do?

3. How the hvac technicians work environment?
HVACR technicians-work in the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning contracting
industry. HVACR technicians work mostly in homes, schools, shops, hospitals, office buildings, or
factories. Some technicians are assigned to a specific workplace at the beginning of each day.
Another trip to several different locations, make a service call. Although most technicians work inside
the house, some may have to work in external heat exchangers, even in bad weather. Technicians
often work in awkward or narrow places, and some work in uncomfortable buildings because air
conditioning or heating systems do not work well.
Injury and Illness Most HVACR technicians work full-time, with occasional night shifts or weekends.
During peak heating and cooling seasons, they often work overtime or irregular hours. Although most
technicians employed by construction contractors are self-employed people who have the ability to
set their own schedules.Technicians who serve cooling, heating and air conditioning equipment
generally have steady jobs throughout the year, especially as more and more manufacturers and
contractors now provide or even require service contracts throughout the year.
