General Instructions for Admission Counseling

1. Check your result in the merit list uploaded on the website or on DU online portal of the university.

2. The candidates whose names appear in the Merit List are successful candidates and are advised to report for
admission counseling on the day/date notified. Subject to availability of vacant seats (due to students not taking
admission from the merit list) the candidates in the Waiting list shall be given admission.

3. All the successful students should ensure that they have at least 50 percent marks in the qualifying examination,
such as intermediate for Integrated / Bachelor Programmes, Graduation for Masters programme and 55 per cent
marks in Masters for the M.Phil- Ph.D. programmes. Please note that round off the percentage is not valid. SC/ST
candidates belonging to Uttarakhand only shall be given 5 percent relaxation (45/50 percent marks in qualifying
exam).

4. Successful candidates are advised to bring the following documents along with originals and attested copies for
counseling

a) Admit card of the Entrance test.


b) Proof of age based on the certificate of High School/Higher Secondary School.
c) Transfer Certificate/Migration Certificate.(to be submitted in original)
d) Character and Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended.
e) Proof of passing the qualifying examination.
f) Two passport size photographs for the identity card together with mark sheet in accordance with the
eligibility requirements for admission.
g) Proof of entitlement for a particular reservation category.
h) Domicile Certificate/Mool Niwas Praman Patra.
i) Permanent Address Certificate/Aadhar card.
j) Certificate from a Government Hospital/Civil Surgeon/ Government Doctor about the Blood
Group/Medical Fitness Certificate.
k) Submit Hostel Admission Form, if require Hostel accommodation.
l) Fill Anti Ragging Affidavits online by logging on to www.ANTIRAGGING.in or
www.AMANMOVEMENT.org. Student should submit a hard copy of the Affidavit to the
University/School Administration. It is mandatory for all the students granted admission.
Note: University shall recognize the School Leaving Certificates of Education Boards of the Centre as well as States
and approved degrees of all Central Universities, State Universities, Institutions of national importance and private
and foreign Universities approved by the UGC including the degree awarded under the Open and Distance Learning
(ODL) mode offered by UGC recognized institutions/Universities.

5. SC/ST/OBC candidates of only Uttarakhand, having a valid Category and Domicile Certificate issued by the
competent authority will be given the benefit of reservation. SC/ST/OBC candidates belonging to the other states
shall be treated as general candidates.

6. Some candidates belonging to other states, while filling online application for the entrance test, have shown
themselves as the domicile of Uttarakhand in SC/ST/OBC category. These students shall be treated as general
category candidates and will not be eligible for admission under reserved category. Therefore, these candidates
will fall under the general merit list. Such candidates should inquire by phone or by email in advance before
proceeding for admission counseling.

7. Students are advised to deposit the fees at University or any branch of HDFC Bank (details as below in
Mode of Payment). As per fee structure mention in the prospectus :

Fee Structure

Candidates are required to deposit the Common fee (Rs 7950.00), Tuition and Other Fee (details as per the
academic programme in point no. ii below) at the time of admission counseling.

(i) Common Fee mandatory for all candidates (irrespective of academic programmes):

1. Admission Fee (one time non refundable): Rs. 2000.00


2. Caution Money (One time-Refundable): Rs. 5000.00
3. Degree Fee (one time for one degree- non refundable): Rs 750.00
4. University Magazine Fee (on annual basis): Rs 100.00
5. Student Council fee (on annual basis) Rs 100.00

(b) Mess charges: (Only for the students given hostel allotment - to be deposited separately) - As fixed through
catering tender process. (Approx. Rs 2400 per month)

8. Cancellation of Admission

All candidates should note that:

(i) If the information furnished by them at the time of admission is found to be incorrect/ misleading, their
admission may be cancelled at any time.

(ii) In case where the certificates of the qualifying examination are not submitted by the applicant at the
time of admission and later on it is found that the applicant does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, then
his/her admission in the University shall ipso facto stand immediately and automatically cancelled. In
such cases the University shall not refund the fee submitted by such applicant.

9. Dates of Admission Counseling (24 July 2017 to 26 July 2017)
