2.Dispatchorderoperationtoresource(SAPMultiresourceScheduling)
Youhavedifferentoptionstocreateassignmentsforresourcesintheplanningboard.Eachmethodhasparticularadvantagesthat
youcanuseinyourworkasaresourceplanner.
Drag&DroponResource
1.Intheorderworklistoritemworklist,choosetheitemthatyouwanttoassigntotheresource
2.Movethisitemtotheplanningboardusingdrag&dropandcarefullyplaceitonthenameoftheresource
YoucanmanagethedatesthatarecopiedtotheassignmentintheResponseWhenDragging&DroppingDemandsto
Resourcesintheusersettingsoftheresource.

3.Searchforemployee(SAPMultiresourceScheduling)
Inthecontextmenuforthedemand,chooseSuitableResources.
Anareafortheemployeesearchthenappears.ThefieldsFrom,To,andDemandDurationarealreadyfilledwithvaluesfromthe
demand.TheSelectedOnlyradiobuttonisalsoselected.However,youcanstillchangethesevalues(forexample,thesearchfor
allplanningboardresources),orextendotherresourceplanningnodes.Youcanalsospecifythefollowing:
Youcanselectoneormoreindicatorsinthefieldsforadjacentlevelmatching
Youcanspecifywhetherthesystemdeterminestheemployee'savailabilityonthebasisofslotsorcapacity,andwhetherit

4.Matchunstructuredqualification(SAPMultiresourceScheduling)
Thesystemcomparesalltypesofunstructuredqualificationsseparatelyandineachcasereturnsaresultforeachqualification
type.
Thecomparisontakesplacesuccessivelyinalllanguagesinwhichthesearchtermsexistintherequirementsprofile.Inthisway,
thesystemdetermineshowmanyinstancesoftherequiredsearchtermexistforeachlanguageinthefulltextsofthelanguage.
Theresultisapercentageforeachlanguagethatshowsthenumberofsearchtermsfoundinrelationtothenumberofsearch
termsrequired(intherespectivelanguage).Themaximumpercentagevalueforeachlanguageisdisplayedasthematching
resultforunstructuredqualifications.
YoucanspecifyratingfactorsinCustomizingforunstructuredqualificationsaswelltodefinehowthesystemincludes
unstructuredqualificationswhencalculatingtheoverallresultofqualificationmatching.

5.Optimizeplanningsituation(SAPMultiresourceScheduling)
Tooptimizethecurrentplanningsituation,chooseOptimizerfromthetoolbarontheplanningboard.Astheperiod,youcanenter
thenextday,week,ortwoweeks,oryoucanenteracustomperiodinthedetailview.Ifyouchoosethepushbuttondirectly,the
systemusesthedefaultvaluefromCustomizing.Thecurrentvalueisindicatedbyacheckmarkbeforethetext.
WiththeOptimizer,youcandothefollowing:
Thesystemincludesalloftheselectedelementsintheoptimizationprocess.Ifyouhavenotselectedanelement,thesystem
includesallelementsthataredisplayedintheplanningboard.Ifafilterisactive,onlythefilteredelementsareincluded.
Ifyouchoosethepushbutton,youaccessthedetailedviewfortheoptimizer.Thisallowsyoutoenterthresholdvaluesfor
resourceutilization.
Ifyouarenotsatisfiedwiththeoptimizationresult,youcanundothestep.

6.Executeoptimizationrequest(SAPMultiresourceSchedulingOptimizer)
ThesystemexecutesoptimizationrequestinVSRoptimizerengineandreturnsoptimizationresult.

7.UpdatePM/CSorderafterdispatching(SAPMultiresourceScheduling)
Assoonastheresourceplannerhascreatedoneormoreassignmentsforthedemand,thesystemcanupdatethefollowingdata
intheorderororderoperation(prerequisite:youhaveactivatedbackwardintegrationforPM/CSordersinCustomizingforSAP
MultiresourceSchedulingunder SourcesofDemand ActivateBackwardIntegrationofData ):
Status(forexample,ordercontainsassignments,assignmentiscapacitive)ifacorrespondingERPstatusisassigned.
Formoreinformationaboutthetransferredstatus,seeBackwardIntegration.
Workcenteroftheresourceororiginalworkcenterfortheresourceplanningnodeifanassignmenthasbeendeleted.
Work(determinedbasedonCustomizingsettings)
Changeddatesandwork(determinedbasedonCustomizingsettings).Thesechangesalsocausetheordertoberescheduled.

8.Transferemployeeavailabilityinformation(SAPHR)
TotransfertheavailabilityinformationoftheresourcesfromSAPHRtoSAPMultiresourceScheduling(MRSBasis),youusethe
report/MRSS/HCM_RPTWFMIF.Formoreinformation,refertothesystemdocumentationforthereport.

Ifyoustartthereport/MRSS/HCM_RPTWFMIFtotransferavailabilityfromSAPHRforaresourcecurrentlydisplayedinthe
planningboard,youcannotcreate,change,delete,orsaveanyobjects(assignmentsortimeallocations)forthisresource.After
thereporthasrun,theobjectscanbesaved.Tobeabletofurtherprocesstheobjectsoftheresource,youhavetorefreshthe
planningboardfirst.

9.UpdateavailabilityinformationinMRS(SAPMultiresourceScheduling)
ThesystemstorestransferredHRdataintheMRSdatabase.
