INTRODUCTION

Abhishek Gupta is working as SAP-PS and SAP-PM Consultant in IBM Global Service. He is a
Mechanical Engineer and a holds MBA degree in Operations Management from IIT Kanpur. He
is a Vitality campus hire. Abhishek specializes in the functional area of SAP Project Systems
(SAP-PS) and is a certified PS consultant. Besides SAP-PS he specializes in SAP-PM (Plant
Maintenance). He has attended training for SAP- PS and PM from Siemens Information Systems
Ltd (Authorized Training Partner for SAP in India). Abhishek has two full life cycle
implementation experience in SAP-PM and one full life cycle implementation experience in
SAP-PS. His efforts have been well appreciated both by the client as well as the Project
Managers.

1. JK Tyre Industries Ltd(April 2008- Till Date)
JK Tyre is one of the leading Tyre manufacture for passenger and commercial vehicles in India.
It operates from 3 plants located at Kankroli (Udaipur), Mysore and Banmore (Gwalior). JK
Tyre is in the second phase of mySAP implementation project. This phase consists of the

member in PS module.

3. MERCK(June 2007- Till August 2007)

MERCK is a global pharmaceutical major and is among the top 7 pharmaceutical companies of
the world. It has operations in 120 countries with 31 factories around the world.
Abhishek’s involvement in this project is developing a system ready for the end user training for
PM module at one of the client location.

Specific Responsibility:
As a member of PM team Abhishek is involved in the following area:
• Understanding the clients Business Processes
• Simulation of the scenarios in the system
• Uploading the test data that would be required by the user for testing specific
transactions

4. CHAMBAL FERTILIZERS AND CHEMICALS LIMITED --- (August 2006 – April 2007)
Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited was promoted by Zuari Industries Ltd. in 1985.
Chambal Fertilizer operates two hi-tech nitrogenous fertilizer plants and is the largest fertilizer
complex in private sector in India and went live with SAP-R/3 on 1st February, 2007.
Abhishek’s involvement in this project was providing on-site functional consultancy as a team
member in PM module.
The scope of SAP-PM at Chambal Fertilizer included
• TO-BE design of the SAP system
• Preventive Maintenance
• Shutdown maintenance
• Unplanned Maintenance
• Work Clearance Management

Along with SAP-PM, Abhishek also served as a team lead for SAP-SEM (Strategic Enterprise

• Implementing Balance scorecards for the VP’s and GM’s at Chambal Fertilizer
• Developing a cockpit for the top management at Chambal Fertilizer

The scope of SAP-SEM at Chambal Fertilizer included

• Constructing Balance Scorecards for all the department heads
• Constructing Management Cockpits

Functional Experience:
Prior to joining IBM, Abhishek had worked with TATA MOTORS-Pune for a period of 1 year
as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. His primary job responsibility was of Techno commercial
evaluation of machines being procured for TATA-INDICA expansion project.
