a. What does the church say about Marriage?

In the Catholic Church, however, marriage is more than a natural institution; it was
elevated by Christ Himself, in His participation in the wedding at Cana (John 2:1-11),
to be one of the seven sacraments. The Catholic Church insists that marriage
between any two baptized Christians, as long as it is entered into with the intention to
contract a true marriage, is a sacrament. In a sacramental marriage, God's love
becomes present to the spouses in their total union.

b. What do you observe between the Church teachings and the survey results?

What I observe between the Church teachings and the survey results is that the
survey results are somehow similar to that of the Church teachings since I interviewed
Christians.

c. What is the implication of your findings in B on the following areas?

As a student taking up SCL 9

As a student taking up SCL 9, It is implied that I should be able to know what

would be the responsibilities of going into the Sacrament of Matrimony. This would
help me prepare for the future if ever I will raise my own family.

As a person

As a person, one should really be prepared enough when it comes to having

his own family. The Sacrament of Matrimony is a sacred event and it should be
taken seriously. It is quite sad to see married couples divorce and leave their
children of having to experience a broken family.
