2. Objectives
The objective of this research project has been identified as to clarify the
content of Fukuzawa Yukichis innovative thoughts of education with a view to
withdraw lessons learned for the cause of education reform in Vietnam nowadays.
3. Research results
+ The project has analyzed and clarified the political socio-economic conditions
and ideological premises for the emergence of Fukuzawa Yukichis innovative
thoughts.
+Major contents of Fukuzawa Yukichis innovative thoughts of education are
expressed in some of his works.
+ Some lessons learned from Fukuzawa Yukichis innovative thoughts of
education are withdrawal for the cause of education reform in Vietnam nowadays.

5. Effectiveness
The achieved results from this project contributes to the deeper research of
Fukuzawa Yukichis and Japans thoughts of education. Furthermre, Fukuzawa
Yukichis thoughts of education have shown thereotical and practical values, the effect
scope of is not limited to Japan, but Vietnam. Currently, the cause of education
reform in Vietnam is still on its way, so Fukuzawa Yukichis ideas of education in
particular and the those in Japn in general make an invaluable source of ideals for
Vietnams reference on its way of education modernization to keep pace with
developed countries in the world.
6. Applicability and method for transfer of research result
The project can be used as foundation for education reform policies in Vietnam
nowadays as well as references for teaching, learning and researching the philosophy
history of Japan in particular and East Asia in general.
