Strathmore is acting as a playground for se-


rious concern, as a large number of the com-
munitys younger generation continue to be
displaced, seeking refuge on a friends couch,

tact with those down and out.

vagrant are not readily visible in the town

are becoming aware of the seriousness of the
situation. No fewer than 50 individuals are esti-
mated of resorting to couch surfing crashing
on friends couches and wandering from place

has established itself as somewhat of a hub for
teenagers in Strathmore. Owner John Hilton

er, volunteer and board member on homeless
organizations in Portland, Grande Prairie, Mil-

Committee Downtown Enhancement & Storm Drainage Line Installation - The next phase of
the project is sidewalk removal and replacement as well as underground
electrical work. Fenced sidewalk corridors and temporary entrance walkways
of the Whole will be constructed to allow for pedestrian traffic. All businesses and services
will be open during construction. During this phase, the intersection of Second
Meeting will be Ave. and Second St. will be closed for approximately one month. Detours will
be marked to re-direct traffic. Parking is available on the Northeast portion of

The Waste Transfer Site Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of
the waste transfer site, maintaining the facility, and for ensuring all tasks are
completed in a safe and timely manner. This position requires a person who is
highly motivated, able to work independently, able to walk or stand for lengthy
periods, and is physically fit and able to lift moderately weighing loads. This
person takes personal responsibility for the facility, takes pride in their work, and
demonstrates attention to detail.

This position is part time, and the weekly schedule will vary (minimum one day/
week, maximum five days/week).

Up-to-date First Aid training , and knowledge of OHS regulations
