2017 UTAH BLUES FESTIVAL YOUTH BLUES SHOWCASE AUDITIONS ARE MAR 20 - APRIL 20
MUSICGARAGE.ORG DONATES AUDITIONS, STAFF, EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES FOR THIRD YEAR

Salt Lake City, UT - Since its start in 2015, The Utah Blues Festival has turned to Utah-based youth
program, MusicGarage.Org to sponsor the annual Youth Blues Showcase that opens the festival each
year. MusicGarage.Org donates the necessary publicity, promotion, screening, auditions, equipment,
facilities, instruction, rehearsals and musical direction required.

The 2017 Utah Blues Festival will reconvene for its third year at the Gallivan Center on Saturday June 17
from 12 pm - 10 pm and will feature local, regional and national blues acts headlined by singer-guitarist
Kenny Neal. The Youth Blues Showcase opens the festival at noon on June 17 on the main stage.

The Youth Blues Showcase is auditioning for Vocalist, Harmonica, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone,
Keyboards, Guitar, Bass and Drummers to audition at least two songs choices from this list; Thrill is
Gone, BB King, Born Under a Bad Sign, Albert King, Messin' With The Kid, Junior Wells and Sweet Home
Chicago, Eric Clapton.

ABOUT MUSICGARAGE.ORG

Since 2009 MusicGarage.Org has provided multiple award-winning after-school and summer camp music
programs for youth in rock, blues, bluegrass and jazz music. Salt Lake City, Park City and Granite School
Districts have contracted MusicGarage.Org for core curriculum, community education and afterschool
programs since 2010. Sound synthesis, music technology, master classes, home recording and
songwriting programs are available. MusicGarage.Org staff are internationally renowned and have
