Learning Area:

The Result-Based Performance Management System for Teachers (RPMS) is a new

system for rating teachers performance. It is perplexingly detailed, comprised of four KRAs;
each KRA teacher has to formulate objectives and formulate performance indicators to be the
bases of the rating KRA. It is necessary, therefore, the teachers should be oriented thoroughly of
this new rating system so that they will appreciate and value the ratings given to them. This
INSET is order.

It is been observed that most of the teachers find difficulty in asking quality questions to
their pupils delivery of the lesson. Oftentimes, their questions are limited to lower level only.
Appropriate high level questions triggers the minds of pupils that result in more active
participation of the class. Teachers should develop their art of questioning in order to create
situations that would encourage pupils to use their higher order thinking skills.
