Course Clarifications of Terms:

1.Homework is mandatory in this course. A missing homework will lead to an incomplete final
grade.

2. Homework is individual work not a group assignment. A 0.5 de-rating factor will be
implemented to students not adhering to this regulation.
3. Homework is to be handed as a hard copy prior to the start of class on the stipulated date.
Late homework will be given a de-rating factor of 0.25 for each week being late (.75 first week,
.5 second week, and so on).

4. Definitions and descriptions included in the homework must be as described in the course
text (refrain from finding terms in Google) unless otherwise indicated; i.e. search assignments.

5. Close book test: No opened books or digital devices in plain sight. Failure to observe this
measurement will result in a null exam.

6. Exams must be answered in an orderly fashion. Sloppy work will be evaluated accordingly
with a 10% reduction of the grade.
Note: if an answer is not legible then the answer will be graded as incorrect

7. Final group projects must have a minimum of 4. (or as agreed in class depending on class
size). An objective of this assignment is to encourage and manage team work.
