English Introductory Course
SUBJECT DESCRIPTION
The Introductory course is a 10 hours course that reinforces the English courses at
Universidad Tecnolgica del Norte de Aguascalientes.
This course is primarily aimed to students who have a basic level of English and its
purpose consists of providing them with communicative activities which will be useful to
communicate effectively in real-life situations. In addition, the course allows students to
reinforce their English language knowledge towards the four skills which are Listening,
Speaking, Reading, and Writing and these skills will be supported by the areas of
Grammar and Vocabulary.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
METHODOLOGY
This course will include a series of activities that promote learning by focusing on
different topics and personal engagement. Some of the activities will include games, role-
plays, interviews, students presentations, discussions and informal talks. The teacher will
mainly guide students to improve their language skills in real life and meaningful
situations.
The course activities will mainly be focused on structure and communication. There will
be structure explanations by the teacher after students exploration of the language.
DIDACTIC RESOURCES
Pictures, cards, word cards, flashcards, wall-charts, posters, realia, students book,
videos, projector, laptop, speakers, CDs, and DVDs.
