almostanyoneandonecanacceptthemwithout furtherado,providedone
also has thecouragetotakeon theassociatedconsequences.Completely
different in Christianbelief,whereinone mustobeythisand thatcom-
mand.Buddhismrequiresfroma personnotonebitofconfession, andno
gratitude one
either; must simplybring withone a certain
vision,a certain
wayoflookingat things.Andon thataccountBuddhismis inparton the
waytothreatening Christianbelief,atleasthereinFrance,whereitis really
