Welcome to the Mount of the Gods, my home. From the 4 corners of the world you have come to pay your tribute to your gods,
and to celebrate the annual festival of the beasts.
As your host, I Zeus, King of the Gods welcome you. Make yourself at home, and enjoy the riches bestowed on you during this
joyous celebration.
The Gods who reign from Mt. Olympus have been the subject of intrigue and fascination for centuries, with their myth and
legend enduring through the ages. Born from the depths of the Underworld, rooted in the River of Souls, the Gods who ruled
from the mountain emerged out of the chaos. As it grew, so
too did the might of the Olympians. They created a world
of peace, a world of prosperity. A world that lives in the
shadow and safety of the mountain, a mountain that came to be the
absolute measure of strength.
The myths and legends have inspired creativity and passion all
across the globe. From written word and poetry to paintings
and music, The Gods bore creativity in which ever heart their
story would blossom. Much like the Furry fandom.
We welcome you to bring your stories, and art. Bring your

passions and dreams. Be inspired and inspire others this
weekend as we explore that one element that brings us
together, our love for humanised animals in a human
cultural setting. As we continue to grow in numbers and join
together in passion, our strength will become like that of the

Code of Conduct
Greetings, mortals! The leader of Olympus
himself, the mighty Zeus, has laid down these
directions for the safety and health of all
his guests. What follows is a summary of our
Policies, which cover all attendees, guests
and volunteers at ConFurgence. Please make
yourself familiar with the Policies online at:

4 Any behaviour or action that causes

interference, discomfort or harm to Austra-
lian Fandom Conventions, its attendees, guests,
venue, the public, or its relationship with any of those
mentioned, is strictly forbidden. Violation may
result in confiscation of convention badge,
removal from the convention and hotel, or
appropriate action as deemed by the Australian
Fandom Conventions Board.
4 Most of the convention is rated PG15 or less.
Events which exceed this rating will be clearly

marked.
4 Please have your con badge with you at all times.

This marks you as a registered attendee of the
convention, and allows you to enter the
Amora Riverwalk Hotel (which has been booked
exclusively for ConFurgence!)
4 Use common sense when in public areas. Displays of affection are great, within reason. Minimum dress standards are shirt,
shorts and shoes, and while fashionable collars are acceptable attire, explicit or fetish-related clothing is asked to be kept
to your room.
4 Australian Fandom Conventions supports the responsible consumption of alcohol. Attendees seen to be intoxicated
will be refused service. It is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18, and it is an offence for a person
aged under 18 to receive or purchase alcohol (both enforceable under the Victorian Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 and
subject to fines over $5000 for all parties). We take this policy very seriously.
4 ConFurgence is a drug-free event. Smokers should use the designated smoking areas outside of the hotel.
4 Please do not throw items from balconies or staircases, including paper airplanes, confetti, streamers etc.
4 Weapons of any kind are not allowed at ConFurgence. Weapon replicas may be used during costume parades but should
be clearly recognisable as such, and stored safely when not in use.
4 Cameras and video equipment are not permitted in the Fursuit Lounge, Fursuit Photography Room or Art Show at any
time. Photography is allowed at most events except for: the Pre-Fursuit Walk Shoot; the Charity Auction; and any events
marked No Photography at request of panelists or participants. Participants are asked to respect that some people may
not want to appear in photos and should delete photos if requested.

Charity of the Year
We are proud to announce that in 2016, we
welcome back our most beloved charity, the
Australian Dingo Foundation!
2015 brought about the sad and untimely pass-

ing of our dear friend and founder of the ADF,
Peter Watson. As a legacy of Peters unwaver-
ing hard work, we welcome back our Australian
Dingo Foundation family and extend our continual
support as they embark on a new project very close to Peters heart.
Aus Eco Solutions, Australian Dingo Foundation and Mt Rothwell have just announced a collective conservation pro-
gram. Its a Victorian first approach to creating a sustainable and balanced native ecosystem, and will pave the way
for conservation and research projects Australia wide. They are taking an innovative and fresh approach that is based
on scientific evidence to restore native reserves.
An enclosure has been built at Mt Rothwell for a breeding pair of pure-bred dingoes and their four newly born
pups. The pups have just opened their eyes to explore their new environment, and will grow into their new role as
protectors of this diverse territory.
The project will work towards developing these dingo pups to grow as leaders among dingoes and humans alike.
The pups will also be ambassadors for the future of environmental management techniques. The project hopes to
finally reverse the damage to ecosystems which have
been stripped of their apex predator, and to create
sustainable long-term change for the future.
In honour of Peter, we will also be establishing a new

award, which will be awarded this coming year, and
every year at ConFurgence.
The inaugural Peter Watson Award for

Contributions to Australian Wildlife will be a nomination
based award, recognising exceptional contributions by
animal rescue individuals as voted by the ConFurgence
Chairman, FurWAG Chair, Lyn Watson, and 2 additional
representatives from local charities.
The award will be open for nominations by charities

around Australia who wish to honour individuals within
their organisation, with the panel making a final decision
on the recipient.
We hope to honour Peters memory by continuing his

legacy of furthering the welfare of Australian wild-
life, and through our support of the Australian Dingo
Foundation at ConFurgence 2016.

We are pleased to welcome Cheetahpaws to ConFurgence
2016 as our artist Guest of Honour!
Cheetahpaws resides in the hot and sunny island-city of

Singapore. The country itself is less than one tenth the size
of Melbourne, yet is home to 5.4 million people! Needless to
say, Singapore is known for its bustling energy.
Thanks to the internet, he discovered the furry fandom in

2000 and took up residence at Yerf, formerly known as the
Squeaky Clean Furry Archive. Cheetahpaws loves to meet
new artists and finally put a face to the names he knows
online.
For the past 8 years, Cheetahpaws has been a

professional arts instructor by day and a furry artist by night.
He works as a freelance artist as well as offering commissions
occasionally. His artwork is instantly recognisable through its
painterly style, sense of movement and bright neon accents.
His artworks have been published with Furplanet as well as in

his own calendars, decorating peoples homes each year with
themes such as The Warriorz 2014, Beach Boyz 2015, and
the 2016 release Space Explorers!

Cheetahpaws dreams of creating his own line
of CP-branded furry underwear, conquering
the fandom from the bottom up!
He is currently working intensively on cre-

ating his first ever artbook as fast as his little
spotty paws can handle. Itll be filled with art

Snapcat of Bycats4cats
We are pleased to have Snapcat, the feline behind ByCats4Cats, back
with us for ConFurgence in 2016!
Eric Stevens became active in the fandom in 1999 and a year

later he borrowed and wore a fursuit for the first time. He instantly
commissioned a fursuit for himself which he took to Midwest Furfest
2000.
Snap made his first fursuit Velkro Tiger in 2001 - he had velcro stripes
so Snap could stick on whatever colour stripes he wanted! He began to
make fursuits as a hobby for himself, and a few for others.
ByCats4Cats.com was created to offer commissions on a part time

basis in 2009, but by May of 2012 Snap had decided to leave his job at
Paypal.com to make fursuit-making his full-time career.
Snap is accompanied by his husband Thor, often seen in his iconic white lion fursuit. Thor and Snap were married in August
of 2013 and live in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, in the United States. ByCats4Cats now resides in a 950 sq. ft. basement
and has one full time employee - Dona!
Having made over 200 fursuits for furries all over the world, he says that he is living the dream and doesnt take his job
for granted.

Welcome to the Amora Hotel Riverwalk, our host for

ConFurgence 2016!
Here at the Amora, we are only minutes from the

Melbourne CBD, plus all of the shopping and supper
options offered by the famous Bridge Road district!
Take your time to explore the Amoras beautiful
courtyard, park and river, which will play host to some
of our key events during the con.
If you venture into the city, or get lost on your walk-

about, simply hop aboard a tram - number 48 and 75
Roaring Twenty trams stop right outside the hotel at Stop 22 (Yarra
Blvd).
Celebrating our 20th Anthrocon
ConFurgence will be running a shuttle bus service be-
tween the Amora and our two overflow venues, the
June 30 thru July 3, 2016 Adara Richmond and the Quest East Melbourne. This
will run for the three days of the con, and is available
David L. Lawrence Convention Center Pittsburgh, PA
at a small fee of $5 per person for the weekend.
