Absent tutorials (absent students can attend) will be held on Thursday mornings from 6:45am to 7:25am each
week. Algebra I tutorials will be held Mondays from 2:50-3:30 PM, tutorials will only be available upon
request.
In absent tutorials, any make-up work the student needs to do because they were absent will be done. The
student may come in on Friday morning 6:30-7:20 AM UPON REQUEST! if they have NOT finished their make-
up work. If the work is not finished during the 2 days, a 0 will be given for that assignment NO EXECPTIONS.
Quizzes
All announced quizzes will be given to the student on the day that it was announced. At times, there may be a
push back date on announced quizzes. The cause of this upon the teachers discretion.
Throughout the week, there may also be UNANNOUNCED quizzes (Pop-Quizzes). This is to check and make sure
that all students are learning content on track and are making sure of their priorities.
Tests
For our testing, we will use progressive testing. Progressive testing is when a child takes a test, the content they
learn will be assessed on the next test along with new material taught. THERE IS NO RETESTING for Progressive
Testing. See example below.

minimum of 3 Major Grades (tests, projects) must be assigned and graded.
DAILY GRADES (50%) include homework, quizzes & pop-quizzes, and any warm-ups or in class assignments
MAJOR GRADES (50%) include projects and major tests
For all tutorial requests, there will be an electronic form the student will only need to fill-out one. The
request must be submitted 1 week PRIOR to the tutorial requested for. Upon the teachers schedule the
student will be notified if their request has been accepted. Student should receive an email regarding
acceptance and denial
This form is available electronically ONLY. Please note that grade changes will only be made for legitimate
reasons and grades will NOT be changed for the following reasons, Bad test grade, failed assignment
because student did not study, etc. The grade change form is STRICTLY for students who have errors in
their average/assignments. The student will receive consequences if a form is submitted without it having a
legitimate reason. Student could receive detention, this is upon the teachers discretion.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
My name is Aman Kamdar, and I feel so honored and excited to teach your child! This year marks my third
year in secondary education as I have taught elementary 2-5 and middle 6-7 grades. This will be my first-year
teaching 9th Grade Algebra I & English I Pre-AP and I am excited for what it has in store for me.
My hope for the year is to work with you to ensure that your child masters all the concepts needed to advance to
their next Math level. Please consistently check EaseWard for information regarding your childs performance.
I work hard to keep homework assignments, class work and assessments listed with grades and notes, so this is
your best reference if you would like to know how your child is doing. I routinely make notes on EaseWard
stating whether the assignment was incomplete, missing, if your child was absent, etc.
Please make sure that the contact information listed for you and your child is accurate in EaseWard, as most of
my communication will be through the EaseWard program and/or email.
Regards,
Coach K
